First pull down the paper out tray and open the cartridge cover.

Then I would advise unplugging the printer to minimise risk of getting your fingers caught in the workings. This should leave you free to move the carriage or anything else obstructing it and get the cartridge free.

I have refilled my ink cartridges on my epson c60 printer and the printer display on the screen is still showing ink empty and the printer will not print

If you have refilled your cartridges and haven't re-set them, that's why they won't work. You have chips on both cartridges that need to be re-set every time you do a refill. You can either buy a re-setter on e-bay, or go to a refill shop to re-set them. What the re-setter does is assign a new serial number to the cartridge, thus "fooling" the printer to think you have popped in new cartridges. That is the only way to bypass the protection (chips) that Epson has put on their cartridges.
Sometimes, the message "low ink" or "no ink" appears even if the cartridges are not totally empty. If you are certain that their still is some ink int the tank, just re-set the cartridge without refilling it.

I have just changed all the ink's in an Epson d120

If you replaced with "genuine" ink-cartridges, then it should report "full".

If you replaced with "refilled" ink-cartridges, then the company that refilled forgot to "reset" the electronics inside the ink-cartridge, in order to report "full".

Or, perhaps, the software "toolbox" that came with the printer has a button "I have installed new cartridges, please re-verify the ink-levels" ??? Click that button.

Canon Pixma MX310 rubber track pulling ink fell off

there is no rubber track that pulls the ink cartridges, i think you are talking about the timing **** that sits directly behind the print head, you need to remove the covers so you can get to the carriage unit and the timing **** is just hooked on one end and on the other it is help on with a spring, its not that hard to put bak on once you work out how to get all the covers off

Canon MP600R ink tank not recognised U150

I too was getting the error for unrecognized ink cartridge. Then the little green circ board fell out of the end of the ink cartridge and it hit me that maybe if I put in the little green circ board from the old ink cartridge of the same color, then maybe the ink cartridge would be recognized. It worked! So don't throw out an ink cartridge that still has ink just because of that error and hold onto your empty cartridges in case you need the little green/gold circ boards.

Hope this helps.

Mechanism, belt came off.

Turn your machine upside down and give it a shake. Most likely, a small spring will fell out. The same thing happened to us and sure enough, it was the spring. This spring will give the tension you need to hold the belt on the plastic piece.
