I just took mine apart and there’s a little coil that pulls the locking pin down to allow the mechanism to be turned. The pun is returned by a small spring that in this case is no longer strong enough to do it’s job. Thus a gun safe worth about $700 is rendered inoperative by a 25 cent spring.

Some digital lock safes may have been provided with notes, manuals and papers; their manufacturer's websites filled with helpful instructions, documents and papers; however, this poses a problem on which one to choose. Simply read through everything that you can find, to eventually find the solution to your problem.

You haven't found any piece of useful paper of your digital safe's package; try reporting your problem to the manufacturer. You can contact manufacturers at their website or local offices. Send in a request for a tool key or a set of instructions on how to change your currently forgotten combination lock. While they do not keep records of safe combinations, they are the best group to consult on how to crack their own security codes.

I would recommend calling a locksmith as it may be a cheaper solution than what the manufacturer has to offer.

''The protector'' gun safe I need a user manual

If it is "The Protector" from Costco, open the door and put your hand back by the top of the rear of the door in the seam. There you should feel a little button, push and hold til it beeps then enter your 4 digit code, hit "A" and release. Lock the wheel with door open and make sure your new code works.
Good luck!
