Adjust the REED switch, clean it, tight the connector very well.
see the diagram

2) replace battery, clean the contacts batteries, retight the springs contacts batteries, and clean it.

Proof again. try to RUN after you did the steps before, the software diagnostic, for troubleshooting, and fix it.

SOURCE: When turned on right hand

If the console takesbatteries, replace them. If this does not work or your console does not requirebatteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor. Reed Switch:Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The reed switch is mountedon the frame next to the front roller pulley. There is a magnet glued into thefront roller pulley. When adjusting the reed switch, make sure it is pointingdirectly at the magnet. Move the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of themagnet. Also, check to see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected tothe console. 11_30_2011_12_46_08_am.gif
Try to tight the keypanel flexible cable vs Display Board and then tight the connector from display board vs Main controller board(lower board) and will be a good idea spray with contact cleaner the keypanel with carefully and patience.

Finally you will have 2 options if the problem persist: 1) display board faulty or 2) main controller board faulty. See. the block diagram how the main controller board has 90% of function in any treadmills.

When turned on right hand display comes up with 51 then flashes with the number 68. Dead man button works but not any of the controls. Alex

Treadmill automatically speeds up upon start up

If you have a unit where the speed can be adjusted with 1 mph increments 0 to 10 and with speed up or down .1 mph increments . it sound like the key pad itself is causing this problem. Depending on manufacturer you can purchase the keypad/overlay and some will want you to purchase the entire display.

Treadmill displays incorrect speed. I always run at 4.2 MPH. Today, with the switch in the same position, the display says 6.6 MPH, but the belt is turning at the same 4.2 MPH. I tried unplugging unit...

Treadmill is more than likely in metric. Most mill (if in english measurement) will start out at .5 metric usually star at .8 Not sure how to change for treadmill but it should be in the manual.
