Tricity Bendix AW1260W - drum won't turn - 5 beep error repeats

We have a Tricity Bendix AW1260W. It didn't do the spin on a wash and then had a beeping error signal of 5 beeps repeating. the manual doesn't explain that particular error signal. It did another couple of washes but without the spin cycle and the same 5 beep error signal. Now the machine won't rotate the drum at all, but will fill and drain fine. Not heard the error signal again, and have to turn the knob back to zero to get the door open. Have cleaned the pump filter. Has anyone heard of this 5 beep error signal? Thanks in advance for your time.

Washer motor control board failure is the likely problem, also check all connectors for signs of burning. Also test the washer motor.

SOURCE: my tricity bendix washing machine flashing and beeping end light

Hi, we had something similar happen just before christmas. Our machine seemed to finish a cycle and started making beeping noise with end light flashing. Then when I switched it back on to do another load it just started beeping with end light flashing no matter what cycle was selected. Engineer has been out and advised that it is a fault with the motherboard so has ordered another one. Hope this is of some help. Machine was tricity bendix aw1400w.

SOURCE: machine will fill and turn slowly but will not

Check motor capacitor first.Try moving the drum and see there is no extra friction. If your washer has got braking mechanism check the brakes also. ( I have no idea about this model regarding break)

Motor won't spin, with flashing "End" light and 3 beeps

this should be a blocked pump or waste pipe or pressure switch ( round grey disk with small pipe off the drum)

Tricity bendix aw1400w will not spin

We had a similar problem, where it washed okay but didn't spin and just 'beeped' with end light flashing. When the drum was empty it was not moving round very freely.
Try unplugging the machine from the electricity. Then take top off machine off so you can see the casing outside the drum. There's a small rubber tube on top. If you disconnect that you can look through into the drum. Try turning the drum round slowly while looking through the hole. We found a sock wedged in which we managed to pull out through the hole (not easy and don't expect the sock to come out in one piece).
It worked - and we've had to repeat the procedure a couple of times now. Think I must be putting too much in the machine in 1 go, although there's always space at the top.
