BUNN "airlock?" I'm working on a 3 burner BUNN coffeemaker. It seems to have some kind of "airlock". When I put water in, it barely trickles out, until I remove the top and run the spring down the fill hole to release all the air bubbles. After I do that it is fine. Until the next pot, and it happens again. How do I fix this?

Thanks for the suggestions. This is a new machine. We used it at work for a few months last year, then it started to brew one pot, and would not brew a second one. It hasn't been used for a few months because of that. All wiring and thiermostat is fine. The problem is that there is air in the lines somehow. When I run the spring down the drain hole to release the air, it works fine,. But I can't figure out why there is air in there.

SOURCE: When I pour water into (empty) pot to fill. Bunn coffee maker

If you pour water into the machine, and water comes out, then the reservoir is full of water. There is no way the water can bypass the reservoir and go directly into the pot.

SOURCE: Unable to remove our sprayhead from our Bunn NHB Coffeemaker

You might try putting a butter knife underneath the sprayhead to remove it. If this doesn't work, then please contact customer service and request a tool that can be provided to remove the sprayhead.

My Bunn coffee filter overflows during brewing. What a mess! Is there any way to slow down the water flow?

If this is a pour-over coffeemaker, you can't do anything about the flow. It's just gravity pushing the water out of the reservoir. But you can try using a coarser grind of coffee. If the grind is too fine (if you grind whole beans for too long in a blade grinder, for instance, or if you're using espresso grind coffee), the water can't flow through quickly enough and it backs up and overflows. Make sure your coffee is ground for a drip coffeemaker.

Warmer on my bunn gr10-w works but the brewer switch seems to do nothing. I can't see any problems in wiring but was searching for a wiring diagram. Is there a part that could take this circuit out?

Either the solenoid (water inlet valve) is bad or the switch.

when you hit brew button chek for voltage across the solenoid .If voltage is present then replace the solenoid

if no voltage there then replace the switch

Our Bunn VPR coffeemaker takes a LONG time to heat up the water. If we don't wait several hours between pots of coffee, the coffee is luke-warm at best. Does this sound like a heating element or...

We left vinegar in the coffeemaker overnight. Seems to have done the trick - water is heating up now after 20 or so minutes instead of several hours.

Bad tasting coffee

you can always clean a coffeemaker with vinegar, but always pour in cold, so you can do it twice or more, but dont re-use the stuff you just used, wait till it's cold or just use some other.after use clean by let water through 2 or 3 times, (also only cold water)

Bunn pour omtic 3 burner commerical coffe maker model 666L (pin # 658) Coffee maker will not brew red light comes on and flickers followed th set up insturctions still nothing, even put a pot of vinegar...

I'm going to presume that your brewer is a VPS series pour-over brewer. This problem can be caused by several things, so I'll list the most common ones.
1) The on/off switch for the lower warmer could be burnt out. This switch also operates the heating element.
2) The high limit thermostat quite offen blows on the older VPS brewers. this is a small unit held down to the top of the tank and has 2 wires voming to it.
3) Look for burnt-off wires. These models sometimes burn off wires on the top of the heating element.
4) If none of these work, then your problem will be your heating element itself.
Parts for these models are readily available from your local Bunn repair shop.

Lost manual need cleaning instructions

You can download the operating manual for your machine in pdf format right to your computer from www.bunn.com By the way, I wouldn't personally put vinigar in any Bunn machine, as it takes forever to run enough water through them to get rid of the vinigar taste.

Empty bunn coffeemaker

The easiest way to empty these brewers is to turn them upside down over the sink. Turn it on it's side, always keeping the fill hole down toward the sink, and keep on going until you have the unit completely upside down. If there is a push switch under the lid to stop water from going into the pot until the lid is closed, you will have to keep this pushed in until the unit is empty
