Having Trouble Connecting iPod Touch to Airtunes Network

Solved: Belkin G+ Mimo Wireless Router Issue Hi All

Ever since i bought this Belkin G+ Mimo Router, i've been having this problem, but couldn't find the time to take it back (or too lazy, whatever). :P

Trouble is, frequently when surfing the net, the router disconnects, for no reason. It happens almost everytime i go on youtube, and just some random sites i go on, will cause the router to disconnect. Can't seem to find the answer anywhere else, so i took it upon myself to register and ask you guys. Have no clue what the problem is, was thinking maybe a port issue, but since the router is uPnP i don't see how, besides, could that even cause it to disconnect? Anyway, any help is appreciated.

Your network may not be compatible with this iPod.

Go in to setting on your ipod and in setting select connection,then wifi.At there the ipod will ask you for the router password o keys.

If you are having problems connecting either your iPhone ® or your iPod Touch ® to your wireless router please ensure that the routers wireless name (SSID) contains no spaces.

1. go to your computer
2. start
3. run
4. cmd
5. ok
6. enter "ipconfig" with out quote marks
7. look for where it says default getaway then type that number on the address bar on your internet browser
8. then, reset your router, recheck the password and name and everything
9. play around with it you might find something you might like
   

By not "locked" I assume you mean with security enabled. All clients connecting to your wireless access device must use the same credentials for security as your access device. Otherwise your clients will pick up and connect to any network that is unsecure.

I want to tell you that there might be two problems for your concern.

1. Your router is not working properly
2. Your Ipod Touch is not working properly

But it might be possible that both devices working fine just the compatibility issue.

First of all i can suggest you that you can upgrade the firmware for your router.

Then you can reconfigure your wireless setting on your router.

Then tried to put static ip on your ipod touch in the network setting option

IP address: 192.168.0.15
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS: 4.2.2.2

Then tried again to connect wirelessly with your ipod touch make sure you dont required to add mac address for you ipod touch and also you can click on the option called "Wireless Access Point"

Then you can see the option " Turn Access Control On" you can uncheck this option.

Try again i believe that will resolve your concern.

the router is not giving IP. restart the router to solve the issue.

from ipod delete this wifi network by right click and forget network. connect again.

Yes since you done have the passkey you will have to reset the router/modem and then set up a new passkey then you are all set. But refer to your manual or online manual to rest your modem/router.

Hi I was searching this site for a solution to a problem I am having and came across your post. I had the same issue and what I did was reset my airport express to factory settings (detailed in manual) - this enabled the Airport extreme to find/pair with it.
