SOURCE: Measurements for Rice

Most of my experience with the rice cookers is that they require a japanese rice Cup which is different than the japanese regular cup. makes a whole lot of not sense but i found a replacement cup at one of the local Japanese Markets if you had to you could use regular measuring cup and use the 160ml for your measure. also the cup has a "Inomata" on it so maybe the web can help you

SOURCE: Rice Measurements

You use one cup of water for each cup of uncooked rice. You end up with about 2 cups of cooked rice for every cup of uncooked rice. Different varieties, such as brown rice, take more water, up to 2 cups of water per cup of uncooked rice. If the resulting rice is too dry, you can add more water and restart the cooker.

I am not sure, but I believe that 16 cups refers to cooked rice, so you should not put more than 8 cups of uncooked rice in the cooker.

SOURCE: Can I plug this cooker into an Asian 220V 60Hz

If you put 220 into your cooker, it will destroy the heating element probably in a few seconds if not instantly. The heating element is a simple nichrome wire resistor and will not tolerate dissipating twice as much heat.

The pot was not in the power pressure and I accidentally put rice in it,now it has rice in the basement of the power pressure cooker. Is it ok to open the base

Yes, I did this with ours. Make sure it is unplugged, remove the base cover and take out every visible rice grain. Take careful note of how it goes together. If wet, allow the immards to dry thoroughly and re-assemble.

I accidentally added rice to the rice-cooker itself rather than the pan. How can I get the rice out? I tried removing the two screws on the bottom and pulling but couldn't get the bottom off.

Turn upside down and shake. Put the vacuum nozzle in and suck it out. If a little is left it probably will not affect the cooking but may smell burnt for a while.

IM IN LONDON. I PURCHASED AROMA RICE COOKER THROUGH AMAZON.120V RICE COOKER. How to use it here in London?

Look on the information label to see how many amps it draws at 120 volts. Multiply the amps by 120 to get watts. Next you'll need to get a transformer that will handle the watts when changing 240 volts to 120 volts

We accidentally threw out the directions with the box and are not sure how to prepare the rice and water to put in the rice cooker/

Wash the rice in a seive till water runs clear. Use a cup of rice to a cup of water. Or if you have measurement levels on the inside, fill water up to the number of cups of rice you have put in. Cup size is more like an oriental cup size than a regular teacup.
Hope this helps.

Can I plug this cooker into an Asian 220V 60Hz outlet, or will it fry it? The label on the bottom says "CAT. NO. RC400 TYPE 1, 120V 60Hz 500W", but the cord says "10A 250V."

If you put 220 into your cooker, it will destroy the heating element probably in a few seconds if not instantly. The heating element is a simple nichrome wire resistor and will not tolerate dissipating twice as much heat.

Cooking with fallen rice stuck in heatingpan

No. This can cause a fire. Place the cooker in the freezer to freeze the rice in the bottom. The frozen rice will expand and it will be easier to clean up and breakoff the old rice. Once clean you can cook more rice.

I accidentally put the rice into the outer pot of my aroma rice cooker, I shook most out but some is still stuck there. Any suggestions? How can I remove the bottom of the cooker to clean it out? Thanks.

The problem has been solved - the bottom cover of the rice cooker was unscrewed and pried off, and after removing the insulation, etc. the rice was removed.

Fuse

You can't plug electrical items which are 110v into 220v sockets...you need a bulky and expensive transformer to convert the electrcity to the correct voltage. It is the only way to 'step up' the voltage

It sounds like you have might have damaged the cookers beyond repair!
