What Wireless Network adapter is good for gaming?

wireless adapter has nothing to do with how fast or well minecraft runs. You may want to research computer RAM or have it upgraded.

somebody is accessing your wireless network and getting free internet service from you unless you had setup a wep security! if you have an un-secure network then anybody with a wireless adapter can access your network and access your internet free and drag down the speed of your internet connection.
however, if you do have wep enabled and there is more than one computer connecting then this will slow your connection down as well. please remember that there are some games and gaming sites that are bandwidth hogs and will slow down other computers connection on the same network. also watching streaming videos and gaming at same time can slow down connections as well.

Whats going on is that your signal strength from the router is good but when playing a game the green bars that you see are not that of the signal strength but that of the internet Speed. Seems the signal is there but the internet speed is not I would restart modem and router see if this helps boost speed you can always check speeds at speedtest.net to be sure you are getting what you are paying for.

install the disc make sure that the wirless network adapter is unplugged before you inserted the disc you will prompted an update select yes for the update once it is done installing remove the disc and turn off the console and plugged in the wireless network adapter then press the guide button the silver button in the middle of the controller and go to settings blade and choose system settings,select network settings,then configure network it must have the option for "wireless mode" select this option and select scan for network,choose your network if it ask for WEP,WPA /WPA2 this is the passcode that you set for the wireless network.after you enter the WEP,WPA/WPA2 you are connected and enjoy the game =D

If the ethernet light -( )- is off, flip the X - II switch to its other setting.

If the wireless light is off, click on the channel button, it should me IN. If still cannot connect, then you will need to setup the wireless settings of the gaming adapter.

First, you need to know the wireless settings on your wireless router or access point. Take note of the wireless network name (SSID) and wireless security settings.

Connect the gaming adapter to the router using an ethernet cable. Flip the switch on the adapter to straight through (II).

Then insert the Setup CD of the WGA11B to your computer. Click on the Setup button once the wizard is up. It will then show you the current settings, so just click next.

It will ask you for the password of the adapter, just type admin.

Make sure that Obtain IP address automatically is selected, then click next.

On the Profile configuration, select Internet for the mode.

Then enter the SSID and select WEP if wireless security is enabled on the wireless router. Type the passphrase of the WEP key. Then click No to complete the configuration.

Connect the gaming adapter back to the PS2.

put all the adresses and getways(on xbox internet setings same as pc then it should work

For gaming it is best to use WEP personal, if you are try connecting with a computer. A linksys or cisco router is ideal.

Make sure that it is assigning a subnet mask and a default gateway.
