Cannot hear anything from my phone

I cannot hear anything from my razr v3i phone. To receive a call i have to turn on the speaker phone. The phone worked properly for 6mths and then this problem happened. Any answer?

The first troubleshooting question is do you have the in-call volume turned down? If not, then it's a physical problem.

Razrs are notorious for various speaker problems. If you're adventurous, you can open it and see if a wire has slipped or shorted out. Please note that this will void your warranty! Otherwise, I would just recommend taking it to your cellular provider and asking them to replace it. Many providers will replace handsets for free if there's no physical or water damage to it.

In the meantime, try using the mini-USB headset that Motorola ships with the phone or picking up a third-party one, or use a Bluetooth headset.

dismantle your phone and clean the contact between the speaker and the board.. but be careful.. it might kill your phone. search the net for the instruction on how to dismatle your phone..

If your phone supports the A2DP bluetooth protocol, music you play on the phone will be heard in both ears of the S9 headset.

Voice calls are always in one ear only.
