hi there
check settings for this configuration ......if you have a subwoofer in the settings, for best overall results choose subwoofer yes, and set main/center/surrround to small....if no subwoofer set left/right speakers to large and small to center, if there is no loe frequency effect (lfe) going to the subwoofer it will go into standby....hope this hlps ....shia

I have been so bummed, days now I have tried to get my Pioneer receiver to power on from standby with no luck. We now have our receiver back, the same solution worked for us. Be sure to push the buttons on the receiver unit not the remote. Thank You! Thank You!
SOURCE: ''Power off ''flashes ten times after the receiver is turned on.
Most often it will require an output IC, but I have seen it be a bad ground or a transistor in the protect circuit.

WOOHOO!! I fixed this issue... same problem as everyone else has mentioned... to reset the Kenwood VR-606 receiver, unplug the unit. Hold the power button down and while holding the power button plug the unit in.
Say a prayer...
Then press the power button.
My display isn't working, but my speakers are working, and that's really all I care about right now... good luck to others!

the amplifier stage might have been damaged, check the amplifier output voltage, if it has
then you need to replace electronic components on it, to have the sound working again
hey..ty for the input...to be honest it was way over my head, lol....my dad said to check switch, as it wouldn't power on at all (except the standby light)...switch was part of a circuit board that was also way over my head...i played around, blew out hoards of dust, and she works,....whew...got lucky!
Glad you have made it!! , thanks for choosing Fixya for assistance.
