Milwaukee 18V Hammer drill shuts off while drilling

My hammer drill shuts off while drilling, you can release the trigger and pull again and it will restart. The holes we drill usually take about 20-30 seconds. When the dril was new it would randomly shut off maybe once while drilling a hole. Now it will shut off 3 to 5 times while drilling a hole. The level of charge on the battery does not seem to make any difference. The drill is approximately 18 months old. 18Volt Lithium Ion. It there something internally that would normally be the cause of this? Thanks, Kevin

SOURCE: milwaukee 18v battery

No, it's showing that the battery is either not taking a full charge or the charger is not charging the battery properly. Find a Milwaukee service center, they will check them and most likely replace one or the other.

Milwaukee 18v Drill - Brake not working any more..

Two options the brushes are worn or sticking in their holders or the switch is faulty. Switch can be expensive. If it's under a year contact milwaukee and get it fixed under warranty. It might need the upgraded switch.

I use my milwaukee in ali and pvc prep and assembly the chager s ok but the drill will give no response the inner armature is fullof ali and pvc swarf

you would need to begin by thoroughly cleaning the inside area to remove the debris, a piece could have got under the brush not allowing it to contact the armature and shutting it down. This is where I would begin and hope that it did not burn the armature.

Milwaukee 18v hammerdrill 1 year old stopped working make a click

The Milwaukee tools have a 5 yr warranty on them so I would suggest either taking it back to the store where you bought it and they will send it to a service depot, or find a service center in your area and take it there. If you still have the instructions from the drill, there will be a list of service centers in the back. The main thing is don't pay for the repair it will be free.
