Remote not working!

Have changed the batteries in the remote, but the only button working is mute, cannot change channel or even power off - everything has to be accessed by the actual button controls on our Samsung LE32R41BD TV. Has anyone experienced the same, or have any solutions?

I have same problem (exact same model) which has occured 2 days ago - I am able to mute and control volume but no other functions at all. As yet I have no solutions and just beginning my search to correct the problem so any help would be much appreciated.

Can't change the channels

Whenever a remote is not working to change channels thefirst thing to check is the batteries. Even if some buttons on the remote areworking, it is possible that low batteries are the cause of not being able tochange the channel. Once the remote has fresh batteries, you'll want to makesure that the remote is in the correct mode. This can be done simply bypressing the 'SAT' button and it should light up. The next thing to do isre-address the remote to the receiver. First, press the 'system info' button onthe receiver (or access system info through the menu). Once the system infoscreen is showing on the TV press the 'SAT' button once and release then pressthe record button. The remote should then be working with the receiver.

I need the codes for the sylvania television as i replaced the batteries and then it stopped working my tv

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be
controlled.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the
red indicator stays on, then release the CODE
SEARCH button.
3. Press and quickly release the desired mode button
(TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to
300 times) until the device to be controlled changes

My Olevia TV will not change channels using the remote or buttons on the TV. When I push the channel up or down button, the tv mutes. It will change to 1 channel using the return button. I have tried...

First thing, check batteries in remote, next make sure there are no obstructions between your remote and your tv. i would then call olevia tech support and describe your problem. sounds like the remote sensor has failed. usually covered under warranty. check with olevia to see if they have a factory wide problem or issue with remotes. persistance pays off in this case so just keep on top of tech support. hope this helps, john.

Lost remote programing directions

Great News!! We can program most Philips Universal Remotes with Automatic Code Searh. Here's how it works on most of our remotes.

Programming with Code Search

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.

3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blink, then stays lit.

4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device could be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing Channel Up changes direction to forward again. Press and release the Mute button to install the code.

The above assumes that you want to store the VCR you want under the VCR but, Cable codes under the CBL, etc

Note: if the device does not have a chat channel at a button, you should Play (VCR only) or Power instead.

Here is a Code List on PDF that shoud be universal for most remotes. It worked for me.

Hope this helps you out, good luck.

Viewsonic remote RC00070P

Okay here's the fix.
Remove batteries. Re-install them wrong side in! Don't panic.
Reverse the direction of both the battery cells and install. Press "Power" button a couple of times and a few other buttons a few times. Then remove batteries and re-install the right side in.
Voila.
