No audio when using VCR/DVD player

I recently acquired a Sanyo DS27510. I have connected a Samsung V4600 VCR/DVD player to it using the RCA connections. When I connect the units using the jacks on the back of the TV, I get the video but no audio. When I connect using the jacks on the front of the TV, I get audio but no video. I have both audio and video when not using the VCR/DVD player. I used the Samsung player with another TV without any problems. Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be adjusted? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Exact same problem..

Thanks, but connecting to the back cables only gave me video--no audio. I'll keep trying.

The first thing that you need to do is use the video cables and audio cables that are on the back of the unit. This makes sure that you have sound and video.

Using your DVD-V4600, how do you play a vhs tape on TV? Need step by step instructions.

Hi,
In order to watch either DVD or VHS on your TV ,you need to make the following connections ..
  • You need to connect "DVD Player / VCR Combo" to" TV " as (Audio/video output of DVD Player / VCR Combo -TO- Audio/Video input of TV) ..
  • use either "RCA analog (red/white +yellow ) " or "SCART "or "Optic " cable.(any standard optical cable )...if exist ,optic is the best way to connect it..Remember your DVD Player / VCR Combo 's "OUT" goes into" IN "of the TV ..
  • pls also remember, wherever you connect your DVD Player / VCR Combo on your TV ,you should switch the source selector accordingly to correspond to the connection on the back...
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

Connect a dvd-vcr recorder to my tb

you will need an external dvd recorder to record vcr tapes to dvd. Sometimes you will have problems with quality when you do it this way. I have transfered vcr tapes to dvd with a transfer device using the computer and got much better results. If you need the name of the transfer device just get back with me and I will get it for you.

Samsung dvd-v6800. dvd works fine but the video has sound but no picture can you help?

It depends on what video inputs you use.If you using RCA out on the player you must use RCA in on your TV,same with super video which is over rated.Output is fixed on most DVD players,on tv's check on the back and make sure the inputs match the ones on the player.

Video channel

Dear Gonedeep2,
Are you saying the DVD/VCR player does not have a coaxial socket?
Does your TV have RCA sockets to match the DVD/VCR player.
(ie. red and white for audio and yellow for video signals).

Sanyo TV

I too just bought an RCA remote for the same television. The button to access other video screens is the A/B button on mine (next to the last channel button).
