Hi quiambaonest
i would like to inform you that you are on the wrong way with your diagnosis because this is not a software issue that you can solve by formatting.
this is symptom of a lcd or video card failure.it would be great if you can try and test it with your friend's video card.

there is an easy diagnosis . just connect a projector or external monitor.if that works normally you are in trouble with the monitor.

get back to me when done with these tests so that we can proceed further

HP LaserJet 1012 that was vertical streaking on the whole page

Sadly, the following HP support page offers about 8 dirrerent possible solutions, some of which you may have tried. You likely will have to try the others to see if they eliminate the problem.

Myself, I would download the HP Print and Scan Doctor just to see if it worked any magic or offered advice. Alternatively, Here is the support page related to printing issues with this printer: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00599279

I dont know where to find the password can you help me ?

By default, the CLI does not require passwords. However, if someone has configured a password for the device but the password has been lost, you can regain super-user access to the device using the following procedure.
1) Start a CLI session over the serial interface to the Brocade device.
2) Reboot the device.
3) While the system is booting, before the initial system prompt appears, enter b to enter the boot monitor mode.
4) Enter no password at the prompt.
5)Enter boot system flash primary at the prompt. This command causes the device to bypass the system password check.
6) After the console prompt reappears, assign a new password.

Someone has changed my password on my acer 4620

Maybe this can help : While your laptop is restarting , press F2 to enter to setup options . There you can change your password , if that didn't help , then you need to install a new copy of your operation system to solve the problem .

Lines appear on photo's.

Hey Tia Cindy,
If the lines are vertical that is often a result of taking pictures of very bright subjects. This is aberration is called vertical streaking. If the lines are horizontal lines there is probably something wrong with your sensor and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician such as bringing it to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store, and they will send it out to have it looked at. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Consistent, faded and streaking vertical lines across entire page, from top to bottom.

Toner issue getting to drum - use gen toner cart.

or Drum blade stuffed (lines are down page fro top to bottom- replace drum assy

Drum has been exposed to light faint or blank across copies repeated 4 times down page - replace drum assy

or upper fuser roller stuffed, down page, smudgy print -  replace fuser

LSU(laser) or boards rarely cause issues

Streaky screen

On the bottom of the laptop. You should find the serial number and model number.

It sounds like the LCD has some issues. I recently repaired a machine with a simular problem, but the screen was more "splashed" than streaked. By that i mean you could clearly see the screen was smashed.

Would you say your streaking is more like "Digital" streaking what we call "Artifacts" or its like a splash of water on it, where maybe its been smashed.

If its the other, try safe mode with VGA support. That should disable any other programs or settings causing the problem.

Oh! And when you first boot the machine, does the "ACER" logo look normal? How about the windows boot screens?
