Can't get my 21 1 ir/uhf pro remote to work with dish network dvr 625

If you are attempting to program it to tv-2 on a 625 receiver it has to be set to a odd number for example number 7 instead of 2 or 6.
The reason for this is that the 625 receiver only supports band A frequencies for UHF and on a 21.x remote odd numbers are A band and even numbers are B band.

How do I re-program my Yaesu FTC-1143 to the Ameatur 70m Band

Hi Rick,

If I'm not Wrong, You have the UHF Model radio, and therefore can't program VHF frequencies as it's the wrong band. If I am wrong, then you have a dual band radio, which should be pre-programmed with all the correct frequencies for both 2m & 70cm bands.

I hope this answers your query.

Cheers,
Peter

How do I know if my Motorola CP185 is UHF or VHF without taking it to a dealer for programming?

Hi christo,

Yes the serial No. usually indicates the frequency band the radio works on, but not always, because a lot of radios nowadays can operate on both VHF & UHF, so not being familiar with your model, I can't give you a definitive answer.

I do have the feeling, for what it's worth, that it is in fact a UHF band radio, but don't take that as gospel.

Anyone else reading this post is most welcome to assist in helping a friend out, we would much appreciate your input, thanks.

Hang in there my friend, there will be an answer soon.

Cheers, Peter

I'll look into it further as well....

No uhf band signals

Possible that the TUNER has failed as the UHF band is not working. so it will be important to check the switched voltage onthe UHF pin of the TUNER to confirm that power is received .
If so the tuner must be changed.

Why can't i listen to aircraft pilots & tower on my Uniden bearcat BC60XLT-1? Our airband frequency here is 108-137 mhz.

Your scanner does not receive frequencies between 54 and 137 MHz, and there's nothing you can do to enable reception in that block. Your only option is to purchase a scanner with air band coverage. Here are the reception ranges of the BC-60XLT-1:

29.0-29.7 MHz 10 Meter Amateur Band
29.7-50 MHz VHF Low Band
50-54 MHz 6 Meter Amateur Band
137-144 MHz Military Land Mobile
144-148 MHz 2 Meter Amateur Band
148-174 MHz VHF High Band
Above bands in 5 kHz steps
406-420 MHz Federal Government
420-450 MHz 70 cm Amateur Band
450-470 MHz UHF Standard Band
470-512 MHz UHF "T" Band
Above bands in 12.5 kHz steps

Need the manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

Unkown functions

Lo Hi Air UHF refer to separate bands to be monitored.

25 50 75 are the KHZ steps that can be set for searching.

Using these functions can limit what is found either during close call or during search. By switching to 25 50 or 75 in will search in those size jumps. IE in 25 155.000 155.025 155.050 155.075 etc.
