Hi, can you help me? Sorry about my english, i know is bad, but i will try to explain what's happening to my projector. The model is sharp dt100.
Well, i was watching a movie and suddenly the projector turn off. And i tried to turn on, but doesn't turn on, just the green light on lamp indicator is blinking all the time, but the lamp don't turn on.
And the lamp had just 800 hours, and the lamp is supost to be 3000 hours. Thanks, and i wish you can help me!
It is possible the lamp has died even though you only got 800 hours. Rated Lamp life is always up to and never a surety of those actual hours in the brochure will be acahieved. If you would like a quote for a replacement lamp let me know as we ship internationally. Regards Kevin Andreassend http://www.iceav.co.nz +0064-9-4142348 [email protected]

Oddly enough, same day, same problem. Dec. 22, about 10 PM our DT-100 stopped working. Same deal (shut down without warning right during projection). Now when the projector is powered on the lamp attempts to light, which it doesn't, so the lamp LED blinks (green) while it tries to warm up. The LED goes solid for a second and then starts blinking greeen again. This happens about twice before the unit shuts down, illuminating both the lamp and power LEDs (red). I tried resetting the bi-metallic fuse (breaker), but it wasn't tripped. This is when I realized we had a problem. Like this other problem, we have around 800 hrs on our lamp(not even close to 1/3 the spec life of the lamp). Any help would be appreciated. I don't really want to drop over $300 for a new lamp only to find out that doesn't fix it.
Thanks so much.
I had this problem around 400 hours of bulb life on a brand new DT-100. Blinking green, solid green, blinking green, solid green, and eventually red. This happened after I took the projector on a vacation with me; when I came back, it worked for a day and then started doing the flashing LEDs. I replaced the bulb, and the projector started working again...for a while. After 3 weeks with a new bulb, the projector is suddenly refusing to even light up any LEDs or turn on its fan. I have to wonder if the early dying bulb is symptomatic of something else wrong with the projector.
Where's the breaker located? I couldn't find any reference to it in the manual, but it sounds like a likely cause for my current problem.
We have had the same problem not even 300hrs before 1 year old so they pro rated bulb as you know they cost 400-500$.so new bulb and again a little over 300hrs and poof the bulb blows up.Same thing going on with the light blinking, solid, etc. It has been in the shop again and SHARP hasn't been much help.It was mentioned to me from a TV repair shop that it could most definently be the ballister, but the only way it can be check is with a new bulb.Well, im tired of buy bulbs they are costing more than the unit.I could understand if the buld at least got 2000 hrs. This is the 3rd bulb.So like i said the ballister .Well im still trying to get sharp to replace or pro rate the bulb .Hope we all find out whats going on.I had to go buy another big TV to hard to watch something so small when you a a projector.LOL
Hope someone has some input,
Thanks
same problem here
no warning, no abnormal indicators with led lights
maybe 800 lamp hours
suddenly shut down and now lamp won't light
somebody please help
Well folks, our extended family has 5 of these projectors and guess what... 4 out of 5 have blown bulbs with nowhere near 2000 hours. (One was operated in ECO so should have gotten 3000 hours!) Of course Sharp says no warranty- too bad for you! They are denying any problems and being aholes about the whole thing. We are filing a complaint with the BBB as the 2000 hour lifetime is FALSE ADVERTISING. Every blog I read on this projector says the same thing. Early Lamp Faliure. I encourage you -take the time- contact the Better Business Bureau and make Sharp pay for their false advertising!!!!!!
Hello!
I have the same problem, same symptoms(flashing green solid green flashing gren but no red).
I hav not passed 1000hours, the projector has been mounted in the ceiling since day 1.
Sounds like throwing it away is the only soulution - painfully.
But putting a new lamp in a unit with this kind if problems(technical design) is no solution.
I have been very pleased with the picture quality.
(eurpoean model XV-Z100)
regards
