How to program comcast remote for my onkyo tx sr302 reciever

With the indulgence of IB4G2008 as per his last post Feb 13.....

If I figure your concerns right, they are:
1. You have an iPod on an Onkyo IPod dock that you want to connect to an Onkyo receiver TX-302;
2. You have an Onkyo receiver TX-302 that you want to power a set of Bose Cinemate speakers;
3. the connectors on some do not fit or are not the same;
4. you want to know what goes to where.

If I may suggest:
a. connect the L/R Audio Out of the Onkyo IPod dock to the L/R Audio IN of VIDEO 1 using a pair of RCA to RCA cable. Connect the S Video Out of the Onkyo IPod dock to the Video IN of VIDEO 1 using an S Video to RCA Video cable. Thereafter if you want to watch a movie or play music from your iPod, you need to choose Video 1 in the Onkyo receiver TX-302. You can of course choose any other VIDEO 1~3;



b. all other source/devices may be connected similarly using the same scheme on any of the free VIDEO / AUDIO inputs
c. of course the MONITOR OUT goes to your TV or projector.

With respect to the Bose Cinemate, it would not be technically correct to connect the Bose Cinemate speakers straight to the speaker out of the Onkyo receiver TX-302. You need to install another set of speakers to the speaker outs of the Onkyo receiver. The Bose Cinamate system's TV AUDIO could be connected to the TAPE OUT (or the AUDIO L/R OUT of VIDEO 1)

Please determine if the "Audio" button is actually working.... after pressing the audio button, can you still control the DVD, if not then the remote has switched to the Onkyo. Although, this is not 100% conclusive, unless you have a 2nd remote to test the Onkyo with, it provides a sound basis to proceed.

Assuming the remote is transmitting and the IR receiver on the front of the Onkyo is not otherwise blocked, likely faults include the IR receiver, input to the Micro processor, and the Micro processor.

The most probable fault is the IR receiver.

Your Onkyo TX-SR304 receivers remote (RC-645S) is not capable of controlling devices by other manufacturers. It controls only Onkyo devices.
Other Onkyo remotes do have universal remote functionality and you can download Onkyo remote codes here.

Not sure if this helps, but I just called Onkyo with a request for codes for the SR304. They said the only codes they have are for THEIR remote. Maybe they will work with yours. Here they are:
0276 0476 0810 1187 1376.
I tried these in the Comcast remote (adding a 3 in front of the numbers) but that didn't work. Still trying to get my Comcast remote to program the Onkyo SR304 adequately, since their published codes only partially work.

Not to be found. Your remote controls a lot of functions, and as such can be confusing to program properly. I can only suggest two things, one, sit down with pages 14-18 of your user's manual and use some patience finding how to work it. If you do not have a manual it can be found at manualslib.com and look for this search result ONKYO TX-SR603X INSTRUCTION MANUAL Pdf Download. with manualslib.com underneath. Your second option is too take it a repair shop or knowledgeable audio/video dealer and have them program it for you.

does anyone knows the code to control the onkyo TXDS 787 through the comcast.remote.?
