Tip & How-To about Dogs
When it comes to dog treats, it is important that you choose
the right treats for you dog. You should
try to avoid overly fatty treats and opt for healthier, more beneficial
treats. I recommend buying low-calorie
dog treats. Make it a point to check the
calorie count on the packaging. You can
also break larger treats down into several pieces to give to your dog at
various points throughout the day.
Avoid giving your dog table scraps. Human food tends to be high in calories and
fat and low in vitamins and nutrients.
It is also a bad habit to get your dog into - begging at the table for
food.
Look for treats made from all natural ingredients. Treats made from whole grains are great as
well as treats made from a single protein such as chicken/lamb. Finally, look for treats that have oxidant
rich vegetables such as spinach/beans.
Lastly, you should consider the texture of the treat
itself. Although ingredients are far
more important, texture can play a significant role. I recommend buying your dog harder
treats. They are far more beneficial to
your dogs dental health.

they are very healthy -
