The installation manual has been misplaced and we need to install my son's call seat immediately. We are visiting for just a few days and his grandparents purchased this car seat for him. The evenflo site does not have it or the installation video and we can not get an appointment anywhere to have it installed professionally. HELP!!!
Just in case you don't still have the number; 1-800-233-5921, Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. I've asked them to send me a manual but i doubt if i can get it before the end of the holidays - here's hoping. :)
ps, this is what i sent -
"I am trying to get instructions for installing a generations car seat with a 5 point harness.
Your website is no help as the videos do not open and if the user manual is available on the site it is not possible to find it,
I am an IT professional, and have tried every option, so i am sure the problem is with your site, not at this end.
While I appreciate that you are not working weekends or holidays, I would seriously reconsider this policy as many people are travelling or staying with relatives during the holidays and can require guidance in order to avoid damage to their children while using your products.
Please dont take this personally, but your website seems to be much more interested in giving me giggling baby sounds than any useful information - anyone with an interest in your products knows what a baby sounds like.
It would be much more useful to have a simple download page for all the user manuals in pdf form or similar, then customers could easily get the info they need without having to fight through all the other drivel on the site.
I hope you can send me the information or repair your website at the earliest opportunity, so that i can still feel i can recommend your products. Other than the issues described about support on the website, I have found your seats to be more than satisfactory in most cases.
If you need more ideas how to make your website useful, please checkhttp://www.gracobaby.com/. Their site and support options are excellent and may give your webmaster some ideas how to improve your service.
Many thanks for your quick response in anticipation,"
hopefully this will get a response
:)
This is what i got:
"Thank you for your inquiry into locating instruction on the website. I apologize to hear it was difficult to locate instructions for the Evenflo Generations Booster seat. The instructions are located with the replacement parts of our website. I have provided a link to where you may find the instructions. As well I have passed on your comments on the website. The design of the website is fairly new and we are always interested in feedback. I appreciate you passing on the suggestions and again have passed them on.

Thank you for contacting Evenflo Parentlink. I appreciate the time you took to email us.
Thank you,

I tried the link again but it still doesnt work - maybe you have more luck - i dont see much point in pressing evenflo any more - i will keep hunting to see if i can find the instructions elsewhere, but no luck yet.
Hope this at least validates everyone's frustration :)
This site may be of some help;
http://www.carseatsite.com/installing_yo...
but mostly it points you to the manufacturers instructions, quite rightly, but worth a quick look anyway
:)
This one is good;
http://www.snap4kids.org/id23.html
Have a looka bout halfway down and there are the links for contacting your closest Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technician, which is a good idea for a thorough check pf everything in the system.
Hope this one gets the job done
:) :)
got another mail back from evenflo asking for the model and date of the seat - then they say they will mail me the instructions - please post them if you can and a mail address and i can forward them to you

Cannot find the manual for installing car seat base Evenflo Embrace....
For the LATCH system, there should be a marker on your cars seat (not the infant seat, but the one in your vehicle). It will say "Child" or show the graphic of an infant seat. You will need to locate the U bolt directly under the "child" marker. Put your finger on the "child" marker and go down, your finger should go into a crack in the seat (some cars have a removable panel covering the U bolt, check your owners manual for your vehicle under the LATCH system heading), you will feel the metal U bolt just in there. Once you have located this for both sides of the infant seat, then locate the clips on the ends of the straps on the back of the infant seat. Clip the metal clip onto the U bolt in the seat. Then put your weight on to the infant seat and tighten the strap so that the infant seat is securely tightened down.
I hope this helps folks.
Here is the manual from their site: https://plweb.evenflo.com/ShowDocument.aspx?ManualID=516 -jc

Thank you so much for going to all of this trouble. I tried that link before (you have to enter the item number and manufacture date) and it says that they don't have the manual. Evenflo is just terrible.
We have since left Florida (where my son's grandparents live) but would still like to help them install the seat.
I guess I'll have to call them and explain to them my situation. I find it very hard to believe (and rather scary) that an item purchased just a few months ago would be so out-of-date that the manual would no longer be available.
Thanks again!
