I have set my Denon DBT-1713UD (Controller RC 1161) to "Plarer 2". How can I resett it to "player 1? Or set it to Factory installation? How to?

When you set your main installation to player 2, you should also set the remote control to player 2. By that they match again.
To do this, you press the "open/close" button and the "power" button both at the same time at the remote control for about 3 seconds. You will see the red led blinking twice. Then you press the button "2". The red led will blink twice again, after which the main installation and the remote control should both match as player 2.
To change this setting on the remote control, you don't need to have an infra-red contact with the main installation.

I have dish network and an apex 1225 dvd player. i do not have a remote for the dvd player. i do however have a dish network platinum remote control. i am in need of the code to link this remote control to...

Try the steps below these processes are called a power scans, there is a different type for any equipment needed. This should take 5-6 minutes per item to program.

For DVD/VCR's:
1.) Press and hold the correct VCR/DVD button (about six seconds) until all mode button backlights come on, then release.
2.) Press 222 pound (#) then record three times.
3.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the VCR/DVD button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
4.) Press and release the Power button.
5.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
6.) Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

For TV's:
POWER SCAN
1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).

For any other equipment:
Power Scan AUX
1.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct AUX button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
2.) press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD, press 2 for any other device, then press *.
Press and release the large red Power button.
3.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
With any of these methods verify the code works by trying several different functions for that equipment.

Im trying to program my remote so all my compents will work on one remote but dish network doesn't have the code for my polaroid vhs/dvd player. The model no is dvc 2010. If anyone has the code please post...

Try these steps for progamming the remote, if this doesn't help there is a compatibility issue.

  1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
  2. For AUX mode Power Scan ONLY: press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD, press 2 for any other device, then press *.
  3. Press and release the Power button.
  4. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
  5. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
  6. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.

Denon DVD 910 won't power up. Light goes off then on.

Possibly a power supply problem, not enough power.

Could be these:

- dried up filter capacitors (electrolytic) - these include: main filter capacitor (the biggest one),
any final filter capacitors at each voltage output section, also at the oscillator end.
Check for any blown up, leaked or (partially) shorted capacitors.

- burnt out components (resistors, diodes).
Replace these (assuming you can still determine the proper value or type).

- poor solder contacts.
Remove the old solder and resolder the pins.

Dried, leaked or blown up capacitors may cause the power supply to crash down (or cycle with very low power output).
Burnt out components may act as a short circuit line, a change in conductivity (resistance) or as an infinite resistance (open contacts).
Poor solder contacts (so called "cold contacts") originate from bad soldering (at the factory), being further loosened by component overheating and tensile stresses (moving your equipement from place to place causes the circuit board to bend a little bit each time, and this, in turn loosens the solder contacts even further, causeing more overheating which may melt the solder, and so on).
You can tell a poor solder contact from a good one: bad ones will have a circular crack in the solder around the pin - try moving the pin a bit with a pair of tweezers - if it moves, there's your bad contact (you'll need a good light source and possibly a magnifying lens to spot these).

hopefuly you can get closer to a solution using these hints.

Unlock Deno 2910

Hi,

Initially, pls try:
  • Verify that the tray is empty/no disc in the player;
  • Shut down/off with the front panel On/Off button and not the standby;
  • Press and hold the Open/Close, Play and Skip Reverse (I<<) buttons;
  • Maintain pressing on the above buttons and Power-ON the player with the On/Off button, (again while still holding the above buttons till the "Denon 2910" disappears from the display);
  • pls wait till LOADING completes and the front panel would display 0:00:00;
  • Using the remote control, enter 7, 3, 1, 9, 4, 6, 2, & 8;
  • The Denon 2910 will go into standby mode. Soon as it is on standby, pls press the Standby button on the front panel;
  • Pls verify region free update by pressing the Stop and Skip Forward (>>I) buttons on the front panel. The display would show “Region_Ax” The x would be the former region number that the Denon 2910 is locked into;
  • Should it not work ouot as expected, pls redo all the above steps.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
