I solved the problem by avoiding this stupid website that only screws you around trying to sell you something and go somewhere else. If your stupid response program would have noticed i asked a question about a different freezer you ****.

Best thing to do first is get a thermometer to be sure the temperature is correct. Items still freeze at higher temperatures. If you have ice cream and it is soft, then you have a temp problem.
I would leave the door closed unplug it for half an hour. In that half hour go to sears.com customer service, manuals and guides and type in the full model number from the freezer. You should find an owners manual there to print or just browse for an answer. Good Luck.
