UNLOCK STICKY KEYS HOWW

You might have "sticky keys" so try this:
When sticky keys are enabled, users can access functions that require pressing multiple modifier keys such as "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Shift" at once by pressing one button at a time. If sticky keys are enabled, it is possible to accidentally turn them on at an unwanted time. After turning off the sticky keys, disable the feature to prevent them from accidentally turning on again.

1. • Press the "Shift" button five times in a row to turn off sticky keys.
   • 
     Open the "Start" menu and then click "Control Panel."
     
   • 
     Click "Ease of Access Center" from within the Control Panel window.
     
   • 
     Click "Make The Keyboard Easier To Use" from within the Ease of Access Center window.
     
   • 
     Remove the check-mark beside "Turn On Sticky Keys" to prevent sticky keys from being accidentally turned on.
     
   • 
     Click "Apply" to save your changes and then click "OK" to close the window.

Your issue is just that you enabled the sticky keys of your portable system. all you have to do is to disable it again. Just go to control panel then go to accessibility options. Choose Ease of Access. You will find an option to change how your keyboard works, click on that. You will find check boxes. Uncheck the sticky keys, filter keys.

3. Select "turn on sticky keys" and "turn on filter keys." Select "save." Your computer will now only make sounds when the keyboard is hit.

You have 2 Shift keys on the keyboard. If the other shift key is working then the shift key that is not working is defective. You should consider replacing the keyboard on your laptop. There is no setting on Windows that can disable the shift key.

**Note : If both Shift keys are not working, Try to check if sticky keys feature on windows is on. Sticky keys should be disabled. To disable sticky keys, Click on start and Go into control panel > Accessibility Options, and under keyboard there is sticky keys. Remove the tick and click apply and OK.



**If "Use Sticky Keys" is unchecked, that means sticky keys is disabled.

try checking the sticky keys are off .this happened to me once.check user book for sticky keys i think its probably the fn + F1 OR F2 OR SO ON to unlock.
