No Sound On Gateway MT3422 After Installing XP

Hi...I Have Laptop Gateway MT3422 and i install XP because my Vista broke down...I had no problems installing drivers(LAN,Wireless,Video)...but there is no sound( the driver is SigmaTel STAC9200 @ nVIDIA nForce 430 (MCP51) - High Definition Audio Controller and it doesn't seem to work) Please help me out with this :)

I Did This - Instal the" GWA assistant setup",from the weebsite below, then download drivers directly for the gateway site.

You can download all the drivers you need for Lenovo 3000 Y410 Laptop from the below link

Just scroll down the page for Audio drivers for both win XP and Vista,click on the blue version number to download the one you want.

Note : Incase you have win XP,some people has issues installing the xp driver with sp3 installed,the driver seems to work with only sp1 and sp2.So if u have SP3 and unable to install xp driver, do one of the following.
1) Uninstall SP3 and install SP2 and then try installing the driver for XP
2) Download Vista driver and install it with windows compatibility mode set to XP SP2.

Sure, reverting back to windows xp will surely solve the problem. May be the system requirement is the problem. just convert to windows xp and it will work.

Had window vista on gateway laptop, and a vista update wiped it out and had no disk so installed windows xp and now i have no sound, no ethier card ethier and everything keeps sending me to driver robot...

No sound driver working on my gateway notebook pc

Did you check the Device Manager, the audio driver, has it a yellow ? against it or is it OK and enabled? If it is has the MUTE button been ticked?
If it has a yellow ? against the audio driver then the correct audio driver was not installed. Go to the Gateway Support/download page to download the correct XP driver for your model laptop's audio device and install it.
If the sound still doesn't work check Device Manager to see if the driver was installed and working.
