When the beard or sideburn cutter is extended, it continues 0.5cm more than it used to when the cutter blades then disengage and re-engage again when I push it downward.

I followed the instructions from Nick123456 for taking the shaver apart, cleaned all areas and oiled everywhere I could see moving parts around the motor. Then I put it back together making sure that the side screws were very tight. It is now much quieter and the shave seems OK but not brilliant. (Sorry about the typos in the original posting).
