Most of the time the rubber inserts have a slot in the edge of them to slide over the ears on the pan , slide them on all 4 corners and then put the assembly into the table , slide everything to the front of the table. the nail will go through both the rubber and the pan. Use a good quality ,oil resistant sealer , between the rear edge and the table to prevent the oil from splashing out while operating . If your corner cushion does not have the slots in them , put the pan in first nail in place rubber goes on top . Sometimes the rubber needs to be trimmed to height for a perfect head to table fit . The head should be level with the top and the rubber also for a smooth fabric flow while you are sewing. Hope this will help.

My Juki started leaking oil up by the bobbing and won't sew. Lots of oil. Fairly new machine as far as usage goes.

Have you moved your sewing machine lately? I don't know what model your machine is, but I would imagine that you have an oil pan under the machine. If you have too much oil in the pan (there are marks on the pan indicating how full you should fill it), it might do this.
If you have moved it lately and tilted the machine, you may have two problems:
1.If you tilted it towards the bobbin, you might have oil dripping from all those parts and you will need to tilt the machine back and dry all the parts with a soft cloth until the excess is gone.
2. If you tilted it to the right, you may have oil on the belt and it is spinning out on a greasy belt. While your machine is tilted backwards, your belt should be loose and you can dry it will a clean rag. Take a flashlight and look down around your motor where your belt is attached and make sure that the cover over the belt isn't full of oil and contributing to the problem. (Dry it out with your rag also).
Good Luck!

Sewing machine juki ddl 8500 I haven't seen oil splash these days and I smelled burning twice, am scared to use it again. How can I fix the problem?

Take your bobbin case out, lift your presser foot, unthread your upper thread and run the machine as fast as it will go and I think you will see the oil moving.. If it doesn't, push the whole machine backwards(not the table, just the machine) if it will do it without taking the belt guard loose. See if the oil in the pan is clean, If not, you will need to drain the dirty oil and refill the pan with clean oil. There is a small pump with a screen attached to the underneath of the machine where it sets down into the oil. Make sure that there is not debris built up on the screen. If there is, take a small clean rag and clean the debris off and throw away.

How can I run pressure foot selector switch

Pressure on foot is regulated by the screw on the top of the machine directly above the pressure foot bar. Make sure your lever on back of machine is down, then turn the screw by hand, left for less pressure and to the right for more pressure.

Has anyone adjusted the presser foot inside the machine? That can throw it off or sometimes you need to look under the machine head into the oil pan to make sure there isn't something stuck and holding the pressure up from there.

Is this a new or used machine? Does it have enough oil in the pan?

Checking the oil level on a juki ddl-8700

Hi there, gently tilt the head of your machine back and rest it on the white peg thing at the back. Inside you should see lines on the back side of the oil pan...min and max. If you are somewhere in between, all good. If not, add more. NOTE: always use clear machine oil. Any other stuff will stain your work. Hope this helps, have a great day
