- Topix grahics with firmware version 3 or higher
- Use compress or ascii graphics in the driiver

In trying to Execute carriage change sp mode (3-009-002), I cannot find 'Engine setting' (which according to the service manual) supposed to be under 'Printer setting' menu from Service mode.
Can someone help on step-by-step procedure of getting to the "Engine Setting" (sp mode) menu please in case am omitting something along the line or is their a permission required?

28113 - Ink supply timeout error (Tank 3 error)
• ink supply pump error
• air sensor error
• The tank feeler is malfunctioning.
• ink level senor error
• The ink supply pump is faulty.
• The carriage is faulty.
• The ink level sensor is faulty.
• The CTL board is faulty.
• Turn the main power switch off and then back on.
• Replace the ink supply unit.
• Replace the carriage unit.
• Replace the air purge detection switch.
• Replace the CTL board.
If you are using a windows driver do not use Topix in the graphics.
Use 8 bits or 4 bits. The firmaware may not be able to understand the Topix algorithm. What you have is a syntax error displayed.
had the same problem - would not recognise ink - would not scan - would
not print --- phoned up canon help desk - no solutions for ink problem
or scanner problem - cannon say printer will require servicing - so the
nice man is emailing me return centres -(no idea of cost yet???) will
be looking for a replacement 3 in 1 for future use -
