I need help with channel set up for a sylvania 6432TF tv. i do not have original remote. and it only will go up to 21??

You have to choose the right INPUT on your TV where your DVD player was connected. If your using the Yellow/Red/White cable from your DVD player you need to choose on your TV the input Example Video1 Video2, etc... If your using the COAX,(like cable wire) Put your TV on Channel 3 or 4. Hope this may help you. Please post the outcome, if you need further help. Is this TV is a COMBO?

I believe you are getting mixed up between channels and programs. Normally program 00 is used for VHS as it has slightly different parameters for colour and brightness. If the TV has about 39 or more programs which can be programmed in from the on screen menu, try using program 20 for the video and 30 for the cable. For this to work you must do the on screen frequency scanning from channels 22 to 69 (UK) and select VCR, CATV, VHF, UHF, etc. I have used program 00 and 20 for two VHS recorders, working on channel 33 and 35 for example, but you must tune them to 33 and 35 on the `Tune' screwdriver hole by the aerial input sockets of the recorders. I expect if your cable unit plugs into your aerial socket of the TV that it has an adjustment for what channel it is on. The TV on screen menu may be different in some countries, so it would help if I knew where you are.

If you forget your password you can reset it. Make sure the TV is off. Simultaneously press and hold VOL< on the TV?s front panel and CLEAR on the remote for approximately 5 seconds. Enter a new password next time you access the PARENTAL CONTROL menu. Front Panel Lock 1. From the PARENTAL CONTROL menu, press the up or down arrow to highlight Lock Fr. Panel. 2. Press the right or left arrow to turn on (box has check mark) or off (box doesn?t have check mark) front panel lock. Of course if you don't have a remote that can bring up the menu I don't know how this can be done.

Reset the password to '0000' by holding the VolumeDown and ChannelUp buttons on the TV (not remote) for about 5 seconds. Do this while viewing blocked content- you'll see the screen blink when it gets reset. Then go into the menu and disable/change the v-chip settings as desired using password '0000'. Try using a magnavox remote or a magnavox universal remote. These at one time were the same TVS.
