How to utilize the WW87 Glass Body Analysis Scale?

I'm trying to use the user function so I may know what my BF Weight, BF%, Body Water, and Bone Mass are. The problem is, I don't have the manual and when I use it in user mode and when it gets to the weight and I stand on it, all 4 sections say ERR...Only one time it worked, but I have no idea how I did it. May you help me?

I too have the same problem. The scale indicates the weight in user mode, however all other readouts display as ERR.

I know my numbers from the scale but now I need to know the ideal numbers for my %water and bone mass. Does anyone know of a website I can go to with tables and ideal number ranges i.e. I am 45 year old female and I assume my number would be different than a 20 year old.

Not only barefoot but also wet your feet before you step on the scale. I always weigh in right out of the shower.

I discovered that it helps if your feet are slightly damp. I usually wipe them with a washcloth before getting on the scale. They don't have to be WET, just every so slightly damp.

Select the appropriate User number, hit set.
Select the appropriate height, hit set.
Select the appropriate age, hit set.
Select the appropriate gender, hit set.

To use, select the same user number, wait for 0.0 to appear, and go for it.

I had the same problem and think i figured it out. here's what to do.

set your "user" setting by pressing user, then the arrow keys to adjust your height and age, and to indicate male or female (make sure you get these right because it's impossible to figure out how to re-se them).

after you get it set, press "user" until your user number comes up (1, 2, 3, or 4). the readout will display the same info you entered as your settings, followed by 0.0.

get on the scale, making sure your heels are on the metal pieces at the bottom of the scale. (some people seem to think it works better if your feet are slightly damp, although in my case it didn't matter).

the scale will first display your weight (ouch!) and then a few seconds later, the bottom line of text that includes body fat in lbs, body fat %, water % and bone mass index.

you can compare your #s to the table enclosed. hope this helps!

You have to step on the scale BAREFOOT to get the other readings.
Otherwise the scan fails and you get all ERR.

How do I obtain the bone, muscle, hydration, fat and calorie measurement on a dquip body fat/hydration monitor scale (infrared transmission body fat scale) I see the weight on the scale Bella

These measurements are based on BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis). As you stand on the scale, you stand on electrodes, which generate small electric impulses which pass throughout your body (and different tissues of course). Different tissues have different electrical conductivity and resistivity due to their different hydration (e.g fat tissue contains very small % of water, that's why its resistance is high), so the scale measures the % of different tissues in your body by analyzing the resistance(this analysis is quite complicated and not very accurate).

Just replaced battery in my Conair WW87 scale and the numbers now do not display fully. Broken up

Recheck the battery connections and check the batteries, this type of display most times means low battery voltage.

How do I get the User button on my Conair Curves scale to work again, so the scale does more than just measure my weight?

You need to press the buttons to use the functions. Do your buttons work properly? Or is that your problem? The manual is available for download at: http://www.conairscales.com/catalog.php?b[1]=1&product_id=437

I think this is the manual for the above mentioned product. Does it say f or BF? BF is % fat with in your body, although the techonolgy used is not too acturate, you can use it as a guide, to ensure the best possible acuracy be sure to use it at the same time of day preferably before drinking or bathing/showering. Usually first thing in the morning after you use the rest room is best. It uses electrical impedence to measure for the extra measurement features and these factors can skew the readings.

H20 would be water content, and

bone is bone denstiy which is important to keep take of espicially if you are an older female, or on medications that affect bone density. Although i am not sure how acurate the readings would be and highly reccomend if you are at risk for ostioparosis or any other diseases or on medications affecting bone desinties to check in with your doctor about testing and monitoring.
