Mitsubishi WD 73737 volume comes and tv shuts down and red light comes on that says status,, HELP!

Tv wont come on, shuts down after 20 seconds

    no the status light stays on, when i needed a new lamp in april the lamp light came on but I fixed that myself, the the dots came and had to have a repairman fix that, cant afford this tv, help!!

Probably a blown lamp-- check your owners manual and replace the lamp

mine did this on jan 1st also... called mitsu and they sent me an e mail with an update to download and install for the tv.... 2 days later mines all fixed

Wd-73737 wont turn on blinking green light
First is if you are able to get it to turn on and blue screen only appears it will shut down as no signal noted.

If you can get it on with Mitsubishi remote : Menu, 1,2,3 enter

This is the soft reset and the set also has a hard reset.

Try the soft reset first and let me know what happens.

mitsubish has issued a service bullietin about the problem. which means ussally they will pay for its repair. the reson it says airflow bock is that there is a temperture sensor that is at fault... it needs replaced.
