Powerfast staple gun works poorly

I bought the staple gun as a close out at the home center (this should have been a tip-off that it doesn't work well). It will fire, but it doesn't seem to have enough power to fully seat in the softest wood. For professional use, if it doesn't work flawlessly under the most severe conditions, it's worthless!

Gun is most likely a multi strike gun. Try not moving the body of the stapler and pushing the strike lever again, repeat if necessary.

How do I load my manual powerfast staple gun? Pictures?

Howdy, I don't have pictures, but that model is loaded from the bottom (not the back,as one might expect) while the plunger is pulled to the rear then pushed back in once the staples are laid in the track on the bottom. Handy once you get used to it:)

I have a PowerFast staple gun #31600. Can not

I got some staples stuck in my Powerfast 31600 too. I THOUGHT they were the right staples, I was wrong. You have to bend a little tab on the bottom of the stapler to let the slide come out of the back. Then you can remove the staples. Replace the slide and tap the tab back into place with a punch.

LOAD IT

pull out the spring at the end of the gun. turn the staple gun upside down. Lay the staples in the track pointed side up, push in the spring slide so that it locks. You are ready to staple.
