I have ZyXEL p660HW-T1 V2 router at home, I bought a new IPod touch 16G and when I try to connect my IPod to my wireless via ZyXEL p660HW-T1 V2 it says unable to join the network, I am sure I am doing everything right, my IPod touch finds my router but when I add the password it says unable to join the network, I tried many times never worked, could you please help me and tell me how can I connect my IPod touch to my router?

Ok do this if it is already showing your router up on your portable device but it has that security lock and you are unable to join or need a password which u dont know lol go to that network and on the top push forget this network. than go back and click on for other location. than for the name put in your router name usually 5 characters long make sure u use capitalization cuz its case sensitive. than select what kind of key u have it should say right on the side of your wireless router. than type the key in usually a wep key and u should be set to join it if it doesnt auto matically do soo
Ok so i found this out by myself the other day
if you are using WEP-128bit or 64bit encryption on ur router, the router encrypts your passphrase or string into 13 hex digit pairs, if you find out the hex values (router should display them when you set password/passphrase) then put them in your ipod touch wifi password (yes all of them) (26 characters) then it will connect.
If your encryption is WPA then im not exactly sure.

How do you find ur ip adress and subnet mask and dns?
I had to turn off mac filtering in my router and then manually add the IP address, subnet mask, router, and DNS in the touch (Settings, general, network, wi-fi). It worked for me

i had the same problem too with my'n. My issue was on of my setting's was set to block that wi-fi connection. Try switching your setting for finding internet connection from automatic to manual. that should do the trick!

i have this exact problem. If you change the security on the zyxel so that it does not require a password when joining, then it will connect. It should work with the password though, and i can't get it to work. So frustrating!
