Invalid configuration information - Dell My XPS M2010 Notebook

Remove power and the battery. Replace the power lead and boot normally. Check all is OK power down, add the battery and re boot.
Don't use sleep mode it can cause untold issues.

Open the BIOS, is the time correct? Consider replacing the CMOS battery. You didn't mention the Make , Model of computer or the OS.

replace the keyboard with PS2 keyboard and try again! if that cannot do changes then your PS2 or USB port are dead!

Start your computer and after the BIOS screen disappers , begin rapidly pressing PF8 until the Windows Boot Options appear. You should see "Safe Mode", "Boot from last valid configuration", and "Normal Mode", and maybe a few others. Select "Last Valid Configuration." Computer should sucessfully boot.

If this error message comes up when you boot up the computer, it means the BIOS requires configuration, usually the Time and Date is wrong.
If this occurs every time you boot up your computer and have changed the Date and Time then this could be caused by a flat BIOS battery.
If so, replace the BIOS battery and then configure the Date and Time and you won't get this error again.
