I have the Sharp Aquous and when a local television station did an on the air test to see if your TV needed a digital converter box this television did not pass the test. I thought it received digital signals and now I'm confused. Do I need another box on the last TV in the house that doesn't have a box of some sort when the digital transition occurs?

The manual indiactes that the tuning system is PLL which i thiought was digital. this is the one tv in the house that isn't connected to the satellite dish. its connected to the coax that was from our old cable company. i thought they just didn't disconnect the signal.
I sense a bit of hostility. Look I am new here so i don't understand the etiquette. I appreciated your attempt but you only stated the obvious.
Yes, I agree it looks like the TV is not HDTV capable, however, I never questioned anything with regard to HD. I would also say that the TV doesn't appear to have a digital tuner which is more to the point of the original question. In either case you simply stated the obvious. I was looking for a more difinitive answer than "looks like". It a bit hard to hang ones hat on that type of answer.
In the future I would suggest you answer something in a more definitive refrain and if you don't know definitively, perhaps you shouldn't answer.
I promise next time if I ever decide to ask a question again (not very likely given the perceived hostility) I will not respond to the rating of an answer. Is that what you would like? Seems so.
What was the part you did not understand about your TV if that one has a digital tuner or not?
I've answer your question and you are rating it as thanks for trying???
