If you have the recovery partition on your laptop you should be able to access it by repeatedly pressing F11 after you start it.If not you will have to reinstall windows from a disc.

Hi..

In that case your laptop is already infected by the virus, came from your mp3, and it's also display the dll, you need to reformat your laptop the causes of that problem is the virus which is blocking the files you want to execute.

SOURCE: Error loding c:\PROGRA~1\myWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\M3PLUGIN.DLL The Specified module

this is from an very good internet friend of mine, I turn to when in need

LSBW - Feb 12, 2009 7:29pm GMT do the following step and get rid of it.
Open Run , type regedit and press enter
Go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon

and check for the key Shell, the value of this must be Explorer.exe . if you can see some other after that like Explorer.exe C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\2.bin... , then remove the second file from the value, means it must only Explorer.exe

Ok, then check for the key Userinit. the value must be C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe, (including the comma) . If after that some thing is there , then delete it.
Ok thats all. restart your system . Report FishTech - Mar 28, 2009 7:29pm GMT I tried your solution and it wasnt working so I tried the MSConfig on selective startup and there it was in the startup. I do not really know why the scenario is a little different but your solution led me to the current solution. Easy Registry and CCleaner did not help at all. I tried those to so I could say they did not work and you seemed to know more about a good repair than did those others. Thank you for caring enough to post. Report Libby - Oct 28, 2009 6:28pm GMT Thank you!! That totally worked!

Hp compaq dc7100 to factory settings because of a virus

Read the Manual. It will tell you how to get into Factory Restore.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "HP Support" or "Compaq Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Look for Manuals and search them for Factory Restore or System Recovery.

Why not just kill the virus or do a System Restore which will allow you to select a Restore Point (date and time) before you got the virus. System Restore will not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected). System Recovery or Factory Restore will delete everything and set your computer back to when you first purchased it.

To get to System Recovery click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. Select a date and time (Restore Point) before you go the virus.

You could also try downloading and installing MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

How to Restore an HP System Without a Disc

The HP computer uses a Microsoft Windows operating system to allow multiple users on your system. When your computer isn't working properly, you can do a system restore to restore the computer back to an earlier version. When you restore your HP computer, you will get rid of any viruses or malware that are on your system. You won't have to get in touch with Microsoft or HP to perform this restore, and you don't need any kind of disc.Windows contains all of the restore applications you need for your HP computer.
Instructions
1 Turn the computer off and then turn it back on. Hold down the "F8" key when the computer starts to enter Windows Boot mode.
2 Key over to the "Safe Mode With Command Prompt" option with the arrow keys on your keyboard.
3 Log into your system as an administrator. Enter the administrator password into the field when prompted and then click on the "OK" button to log in.
4 Type "%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe" and press the "Enter" key to begin the computer's restore process.
5 Go through the system restore prompts to restore your HP computer.

Restoring an HP computer to factory settings requires that you do a system recovery. There are two types of recovery for HP computers: destructive and non-destructive .

Green haze

no photos of screen posted, makes this hard to guess.
carbon dated at 2002 , its 15 years old and the CCFL is not burned out, now that is amazing ! but I bet the CCFL is dim and yellow.
so when that happens all colors are no yellow added.

ok you proved the display is bad. or set wrong (NICE JOB)
did you push the screens menu key and see all those settings inside.?
on the last screen of most hp, OSD screens is a reset.
did you try that, reset to factory setting. do you have the users guide.

or buy a new screen at walmart for $50? (a fraction of cost to fix yours, for sure)

that monitor is old a COMPAQ in fact
1024 x 768 (limited here, and very very poor that)

HP has minimal support , mostly none on this old mon.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00343350#AbT0

the screen is worth $20 working or $5 not.
so why not buy $60 new one.
and the age of high resolution ! then get rid of XP, its a virus magnet.

id do this, id go here and get a far better monitor with LED back lamps that do not go dim or turn yellow.
even free shipping now.

now the fiddling answers, just a few. im reading your manual to you.
ok./ page 14
first is OSD
try the 2 cooler temperatures yet>?
or page 15 the factor RESET?
or the autoadjust button?
