How do I aling colors: the red and blue colors are not align making the tv look distorted.

On my Hitachi there's a convergence button on the front panel. Press that button which will give you red & blue lines. You have to use your remote to converge (align) those lines to correct the picture. If the lines won't converge I've been told it could be a bad convergence IC & tech is needed to fix...could be approx $300 to fix.

Blue off to right outlines everything

The convergence amplifier IC responsible for blue alignment needs to be replaced. This is not an easy repair. Most reputable tv shops charge between $200 to $300 for this repair.

Mitsubishi WS-65869 65" blue color problem

Yes, you need to replace the convergence output amplifier IC's. They can be ordered on line. After removing the back you must remove the circuit board which houses the amps. Then desolder them and install the replacemnts. If you are extremely lucky there won't be any re-alignment issues with the new amps. Then you should be good to go.

Align cartriges message continuously displayed

Here's the deal with the cartridge alignment page....the machine will spit out a series of black lines mixed with yellow ink and at the beginning of each of these lines is a "Green" check mark. The carriage moves back and forth over these lines and green check marks and reads them by use of what is called a "spot sensor" that resides on the right side of the carriage assembly. This is usually noticed by the blue ray of light that shines out of it. So if you are getting an alignment failure one of two things is happening....1)You've have got a bad cartridge (usually the color) and it is not laying down the right colors, specifically the green check mark or 2)You've got a bad spot sensor...even though it may still be shining the blue light, the sensor board can't process the information. Its an easy fix either way.
