Replace line

Two possibilities:

1. Buy a new spool. Make sure you bring your make and model/size to the store to get the correct replacement spool, or

2. Buy new line and manually wind it into the existing spool. Smaller lawn trimmers and edgers use smaller diameter line than larger lawn trimmers and edgers.

Good luck.

How to put together the CST2000 and install a battery

Which part of the Grass Hog did you take apart? If you mean the spool head, that is easy to reassemble. The actual spool (the round part with the line coming out) goes into the cavity on the bottom of the trimmer, with the line poking out of the hole in the side several inches (not enough to hit the plastic guard). Then the cover (orange with the spring on it) fits on top of the spool so that the spring pushes on the spool and the two tabs on the side snap into the holes in the trimmer.

Unless you took another part off, that should be all you need to do to reassemble the Grass Hog. Turn it right-side up and turn it on to make sure everything works.

The line keeps feeding back inside the trimmer head. How do I open it or get the line out even when bumping doesn't work?

On bottom of trmmer head it should have a knob or two taps that push in. Look on spooler there is an arrow that tells you which way to spool string.
