Greetings, I have a 1995 Toyota truck. The driver window gets extremely hard to roll up, with a manual hand crank. My mechanic suggested I replace the rubber liner, which I did, but the problem persisted. He suggested I spray the rubber liner with WD-40, but this only gives temporarily relief. Now, the window started falling out of the track. I have learned to put it back in, but there must be something wrong. A bolt missing, a bent piece, or something, but it is difficult to see inside the door. Maybe I need to take it all apart and have a look ? Thanks for any help you can provide. Victor

I had the same problem. There is a cable mechanism inside the door that lifts the window. The cable broke and had to be replaced.

There is a spring clip that holds your window crank on. Your best bet is to get a window crank remover. You can get one at most automotive parts stores. They're only a couple of bucks. You shove it in behind the crank, and then turn the crank, and it'll pop the clip off. When you re-install it, put the clip on the handle, line it up where you want it to be when the window is closed, and give it a bang with your hand. It should pop back on.
The arm rest will most likely be held with a couple of large philip's head screws. They are usually on the bottom side of the arm rest, sometimes the top, sometimes hidden by nylon plugs. Some vehicles only have one screw, and then you slide the arm rest forward to remove it.
I'm sure you'll figure it out once you start looking. Good luck!
