Transfer pictures from camera to memory card

I took pictures with my Coolpix, and it lacked its memory card, so the photos are stuck on the body of the camera. How can I transfer the images onto the SD memory card? Thanks.

All digital camers has a memory storage (like a hard drive) you ust wipe this clean. if this is not covered in your operators book you may have to send it in. most camers are set to 5000 or more. If this is not the cast you have a problem in you memory board.

Make sure you have an SD memory card inserted and your camera is on. Press the Play button to view your images. Now press menu and scroll down to the copy feature. You have two options, copy from camera to memory card is on top, and from memory card to camera is on the bottom.  Once you select your option, choose your pictures and copy.

SOURCE: Nikon coolpix 4600: How to transfer pictures from camera to card?

ok I figured out how to do it! put the memory card into the camera, then go to view the pictures. Then press the menu button and scroll until you see the copy button. Then you will see the option to copy from camera to card, or card to camera. Press the option to copy from camera to card and press select all....(or whichever pictures you want copied...I wanted all pictures copied). Then voila! it takes a few seconds to copy from the camera to the card, and there you have it! :)

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. No sorry, you cannot transfer the pictures from internal memory to the memory card. You can buy a USB cable online on that big auction site (they don't pay me, I don't write their name) for about $5 including shipping. Don't pay $35 at a retail store for one whatever you do!

I took a picture without the memory card and the photos got stored on the camera. how do i print these for a coolpix p100?

A couple options:

1) Connect your camera USB connection to your computer/laptop and copy the required photos to your hard disk or other external storage device.

2) Alternatively, plug in a SD card in your camera and transfer the photos from your camera internal memory to your external 'plug-in' SD card via the camera menu option: if required, refer to your camera user manual on how to use this copy function.

Hope it helps.

My chip fell out, I took some pictures they are saved in the camera how can I transfer them to the chip?

If you're calling the SD memory card a chip, then you need to transfer the images with a USB cable to your computer. Once that's done put the memory card back in the camera and all subsequent photos will record on the card.
