We've found the best way is to remove the SD card and the batteries for at least 30 seconds and then reinstall both and turn the camera on. Remember, that in addition to the data saved on the SD card, by plugging your camera into your PC with the USB cable you will be able to find any images or video stored on the camera's built in memory.

We've put together a tip sheet for the GoPro Hero 5 cameras but much of the information will help you get the most out of your Hero 3. It is important that you do not attempt to update a Hero 3 using the available GoPro firmware update as it is ONLY for wide angle Hero 5 cameras.

If we can answer any other GoPro support questions feel free to visit us at IcePlanter.com or contact GoPro directly.

SOURCE: Internal Memory full; No memory card in; Will not take pictures;

You need to get a memory card and promise to never use the internal memory again....it only causes problems as you have found out. When you get the new card follow this procedure: 1. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to format the internal memory. 2. Insert the new card and do the format thing again to prepare the new card. Happy photography!

you have not said what model of camera.
but try this.
Copy any desired files from your camera's SD card to your computer. Ensure that the SD card is installed in the camera, then press the rear Menu button to wake thecamera. Press the rear Menu button repeatedly until "DELETE FILES" appears, press the top Shutter button to select.

How do I delete all the video from my SG card in my GoPro Hero3 camera?

Hello there,
As the manual says.

Presuming you connected PC to camera with USB cable.

All the content on the camera is seen as a disk drive by the Computer.
When you downloaded the photos, From the Computer you must have clicked on them. All you do is right click and delete on the ones you want to erase just like you would with any other file.

The SD card is just another STORAGE device and can be written to or read by both computer and camera. Nothing clever.
