Its NOT the video card, because this is happening to me, and I thought it was the video card, so i went and purchased a new video card that cost 450 dollars and the monitor still does the same thing, even after rebooting the system and even re-installing the operating system Fresh and from scratch.
Its the monitor, something is wrong with it and i dont know what.

Right click your desktop (when you can see it) and go to properties. Click the screen saver tab, CLick power button change the setting next to turn off monitor to Never. It sounds like the monitor is going into a sleep mode and not coming back out of it. Some monitors have this issue.

Why Toshiba Satellite A665 Laptop won't start?

Have you tried pressing space bar (maybe its in hibernation mode) ?

or try holding power button for a few seconds (10) then turn it back on.

as a last resort you could try take the battery out, disconnect it from the power adapter, hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then place the battery back in and the power adapter and try powering it on?

Cant get the power to turn on,worked fine last night, it got unplugged, this morning plugged in, won't turn on and the power button just flashse

Flashing is either an error code or the set trying to boot up--some of the Mitsubishi sets if power removed will blink for a minute and then stop--then the set can be turned on.

a model number?

I left it on last night. This morning it was off

check your power cord to insure that you are getting power. make sure power cord is plug in the back.
look in back of computer. you will see a little orange switch. it says 115/220 click to 220. boot computer.
if computer boots up turn off and click back over to 115.
if it does not boot your power supply in your computer needs replacement.
