Actually, I reset the watch by pushing in all the buttons but the light button and the watch went into a reset mode upon which I needed to reset the time and date. As well now the light works again. Thanks anyway. Actually, I reset the watch by pushing in all the buttons but the light button and the watch went into a reset mode upon which I needed to reset the time and date. I found out after replacing my battery that my back-light wouldn't work... I took the back off again and the back-light worked so put some black insulation tape on the metal part that may of been touching the battery, put it all back together and all working again... really happy :-D

Please visit my tips and tricks page for reasons why you are not getting a signal. if it takes that long, the number 1 thing to look at is conductivity - so you are either not getting the strap wet enough and takes enough sweat to build up to get a god signal, or it is out of position and takes till you get the strap really wet to make the signal strong enough.
Another thing is turn the watch on, away from other input sources so the watch will key on you, if it is receiving signals from others at the start it will have a hard time knowing which signal to use.
Hi,
You may not believe me - but I think it is You.
There are some people who stop watches from working - and affect electrical items.
These people are called SLIders - because of the original research on "Street Light Interference"
Be very careful around electrical items when you are stressed - or you could blow lightbulbs.
- Or it could be temperature this watch is responding to. If it stops when left somewhere warm - it's temperature related.
Do not be so upset - any nearest watchmaker will fix it. All you need is a new battery. Visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask for a new battery to fit in. If you not satisfied: find out in my TIPS here for the manual for your watch. Explanation: When you bought the watch, it was in perfect state (allegedly), everything was working and so on. The thing you do NOT know is: battery was fitted in the workshop long ago, maybe a year or few ago before you bought it.
That is OK, co'z watch companies do fit a battery at the point of watch leaving company. So, for example, you bought a brand new watch, but it is not working at all. Wind it up. Or, if you are unable to do the things we do, visit TIMEX download page. Save your nerve and watch as well - send it back and ask for replacement. You will find everything in my tips here on FixYa.
NO, don't open the back cover you will break the water seal.
Reset the wrist unit. Resetting clears the date and time settings.
Press all buttons except the Light button at the same time until the display is filled with digits. Press OK.
If this does not work, have the batteries checked.
I fixed my problem by pulling the crown out to position 2 and then put it in the light, cause I tried to put it in the light without pulling out the crown but it would not charge
