Bose Lifestyle Speakers - we are using back Bose speakers with a Panasonic system that sends at 3 ohlms. We need to know if that will damage either the Panasonic system or the speakers - are they compatible?
You can measure the resistance of the voice coil on the driver. Multiply that by 1.25 to get the approximate impedance. This is just an estimate, but will be fairly accurate on most woofers that have smaller magnets. If the driver has a large magnet, then you should multiply by 1.5 to 1.75 or so. Round result to the nearest whole number.

Hello! The impendance of the "speakers" does not be "minor" of the "system" . If your system is
3 Ohms, yours speakers must be 3 Omhs too, or 4, 6, 8... Use serial or paralel conectios. Ex.: 3 Ohms +3 Ohms in series = 6 Ohms ---- 3 Ohms +3 Ohms in paralel = 1,5 Ohms.
Sorry about my bad english, I'm just speak in portuguese.
