I need to know what is the color of the remote wire on a 07 doge ram slt quad cab 4x2

The amp remote is actually run by the computer bus line. This is a twisted pair of wires that allow computers to talk back and forth.. therefore it does not have a remote wire. Best bet is to run amp on a switch or a keyed power wire for remote turn on. Also if u plan on changing stereo u will need to buy a interface kit or truck may not even run

I can not get the video to work for my DVD, only the audio. I am quite sure I'm using the remote correctly, and I have the DVD player hooked up correctly, although I do not have a yellow cable, only red...

You're now connected the devices by an AV cable I assumes. With an AV cable, there will be 3 wires; red & white is meant to pass the audio signal [left & rigit] and yellow one for video. Connect these wires to both devices, as per color code of the respective sockets of the devices.

Amplifier is not turning on due to no signal from the remote wire. I dont know if I have the correct wire connected together to my remote wire that came in my wiring kit. What Color is the remote wire...

If the unit is aftermarket and it has a harness, the wire will be blue. If not, visit and find ur Car model and the wiring harness codes will show which wire is the ignition remote wire on. That is the wire you need to hook up your amp to.

It has two yello two black one blue, then two green and two purple

those are probably the speaker wires. one way to figure out the combination is to take turns switching between the balance and fade options on the deck and hooking up a speaker to it at a low volume. when the speaker comes on, you can write down the correct colors and hook them up where they should be in the vehicle. there is probably a white or black line on one of the two wires of each color wire. it represents either positive or negative.

regarding the blue wire, there is only one because this is your remote wire. it controls anything that needs a power signal from the head unit. things like an amp or crossover. if you don't have an amp or anything, cut it so there is no bare wire and either tape it off or use a wire nut. it sends a 12 v signal which will short and blow fuses and ruin your stereo. don't hook it up to a speaker.

What color wier do i hook up my amp to the head unit?

The only wire that you should hook up from the amp to your head unit is the remote power wire which is the blue wire on the wiring harness for the head unit. Sometimes they are blue with a white stripe. Hope this helps.

No power

You have the wrong wire hooked up to the 'remote' input on the amp. The remote input waits for a discrete 12v+ signal from the radio. You have the 'power antenna' wire hooked up to the remote input. The power antenna lead shows 12v+ when the radio is on, but as soon as you change the source to CD, the power antenna drops the 12v+ and shuts your amp off. If you're radio has a blue/white wire, use that to turn the amp on instead of the blue wire you are currently using. If there is no blue/white wire, either the radio uses a non-standard color or the radio does not have the necessary wire. In the case that there is no true 'remote' wire, you can get away with using the accessory wire to the radio. That would be the red one. Jump that one over and you'll be running.
