How can I attach my wireless laptop to my belkin router?

hi i have just bought a Acer Aspire 5315 on vista i wanted to put it back to factory reset but it seems that they have taken out the back up to do this can i get a disc from any were or any help i would be most greatful thanks dee

It says:

Rollback the W200 driver to version 1.00C. Subsequent drivers are incompatible with XP SP2.

Unfortunately, WPA support came in version 1.00E, so W200 + XpSp2 = no WPA support. :(


I removed my wirelss drivers and compaq wireless client software, then installed the older driver from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=hb-13082-1&lc=en&cc=fr&dlc=en&os=228&product=235687&lang=en which is sp23031. This seems to have worked.

First, you have to turn on the wireless switch - beside the volume scroll, you will know it because of the wireless icon.
Second, in the task bar, click on the local area connection icon ==> wireless network connection ==>enable

if you do not know the local area connection icon, try to pass your mouse over icons in the task bar, and read the labels.

Please try using Wireless 'G' mode only in the router. Also, try using 'TKIP' and not TKIP+AES for encryption.

CQ Series - Button above the keyboard (antenna icon on button) next to power.
** CQ50-107NR (Conflicting reports on this model show:
Button above keyboard (antenna icon on button) next to power or lighted button below space bar that turns the touch pad on/off.
M2000 - Button above the keyboard (antenna icon on button)
