RCA L37WD12 WON'T TURN ON

RCA L37WD12 out of control At first, while the tv (RCA L37WD12 flat screen LCD) was on and operating normally, suddenly all control was lost. No response from the remote, or front panel buttons. Picture and sound stayed on. Normal operation was usually restored by unplugging and replugging AC power. But often the solenoid inside the tv would click, the green "on" light on the front panel came on, but the screen would stay black with no sound, until AC was "reset" again. Often several "AC resets" were required until normal function was restored. Finally, the "AC reset" would not work at all anymore. The red standby light shows on the front panel, but no green light, no solenoid click, no picture or sound,
