SanDisk Sansa Clip (can you use iTune Cards)

We recently bought my daughter a SanDisk Sansa clip MP3 player. The Walmart employee that sold it to us said she could use iTune prepaid cards (the type you scratch the code off on back) and download songs to this player even though it wasn't an ipod. We have had no success in doing so even with our resident computer genius (my brother). HELP!

You will need to buy the music from Itunes..once you buy them you will have to transfer them to your sansa using your windows media player...Itunes wont allow you to transfer to your sansa using their applications...Just make sure your device is on MTP mode and go to your windows media player to transfer the songs..
I hope that helps
Thank you

I have a sansa clip; could not find Rhapsody cards; got an iTunes card for my Mac; apparently transferred tunes from Mac to clip, see them on the clip directory from my Mac but can't see them or play them...

Your Sansa will not be compatible with the DRM used in iTunes. You can download iTunes+ tracks, which are DRM free (there are a lot of them now) or you can 'burn' the m4a files to mp3 files with a program like NoteBurner (www.noteburner.com) :: Disclaimer :: This method is technically illegal, except in jurisdictions that allow backup copies.

You will have to use this to convert your Itunes files to mp3's to be able to play them on the Sansa. You will have to go to the music folder then the itunes folder then Library.

Loading music from sansa

iTunes uses AAC copies of music files. The Sansa Clip needs the files in WMA or MP3 format. You need to find a free audio converter online and convert the songs you want to MP3 or WMA format. Many programs will create a converted copy while still retaining the original AAC copy.

I just got a sansa clip 1gb mp3 player & need help on everything!

The Sansa Clip is not compatible with iTunes. You will have to get your music from another music service, preferably one that gives you the songs in mp3 format instead of AAC format (although it will accept WMA's, the DRM-protection system on most WMA's will give you problems down the line, especially if you cancel the music service that you got them from - songs in mp3 format will be usable even after you've cancelled your music service subscription).

I have music that I downloaded from itunes to my computer and have saved in a file. I can not seem to get the songs now to download on to my sansa clip MP3 player??????????

The Sansa Clip is completely incompatible with iTunes format. You will need to get either 1) another music service - preferably in Mp3 Format, or 2) buy a different mp3 player.

I can't believe people haven't figured this out by now, but I suspect they are being aided and abetted by cashiers that are "guessing" - 80% of mp3 players are incompatible with iTunes.

Using iTune cards for Sansa Clip MP3 Player

Sansa MP3 players will not play iTunes songs. Only iPods play iTune songs. Visit Limewire to download songs that you can play on your MP3 player.

Unable to download itunes from itunes library to sandisk clip mp3

Make sure the files are in MP3 or WMA file format. If they are in a different file format other than the ones above convert them because for audio those two are the file format that the sansa clip supports. Im not sure but iTunes convert songs to AAC or MP4 depending on the settings of it.

The best way to transfer songs tot he sansa clip is to change the mode of the player to MSC by going to Settings and then USB Mode. This would help detect the drive as a flash drive so you could copy and paste songs to it.
