How to configure yahoo email

Yahoo Mail offers standard POP3 access for receiving emails incoming through your Yahoo mailbox, by using your favorite email client software. To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings: Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465) Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995) POP Yahoo! IMPORTANT : Yahoo mail on outlook or cell phone is a paid service by yahoo.
2. Turn on your mobile phone and wait for the standby screen to appear. go to "Menu" button on your screen and select "Messages" from the menu, press "Select" to continue. 3. Go to the "Settings" menu and press "Select," choose the "Email" option. Select the "Email setup wizard," press the "Select" button and hit "Yes" to continue.
4. Choose an email account type you wish to configure, press "Next," choose the "Account" option, press "Name" and use your keypad to label your new email account.
5. Press the "Next" button to continue with the email setup. Enter your email address and password, press "OK" to continue.
6. Enter the incoming POP3/IMAP information pertaining to your particular email service and press "OK" to continue. Select the "Outgoing Server (SMTP" menu item) and enter in the appropriate SMTP address for your email provider and press "OK" to continue. 7. Hit the "Select" and wait for the "You have configured this email account successfully" dialog to appear.

The regular Yahoo! Mail accounts (US) do not provide access via the POP3, SMTP and IMAP email protocols. So you cannot access a Yahoo! Mail account with a standard email program (e.g., Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird), unless you take some additional steps.

Even if you configure the settings it will not work. Because Yahoo does not support that feature. You can avail that feature if and only if you are using Yahoo Mail Plus. But to use Yahoo Mail Plus you need to pay some money to Yahoo.

I'm so sorry. You cannot configure for Yahoo Mail. If you want to configure, you need to upgrade your Yahoo Mail to Yahoo Mail Plus. Then only you can upgrade.

If you have POP access, simply setup your phone in the same way as your email client on the computer. Specifically:

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.yahoomail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.yahoomail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name: your yahoomail username (including @yahoo.com or @rocketmail.com)
Email Address: your full yahoo email address ([email protected])
Password: your yahoo password

Id also recommend setting yahoo to save a copy of your emails, as a feature of POP access (as opposed to IMAP4) is that when the phone accesses your account, by default, all the emails are stored on your phone and wiped from the yahoo servers..........

here you have to enter the username of yahoomail & password of ATnT...
For accessing atnt mails go on "http://att.yahoo.com"...
ther type your atnt email address as username and password for atnt..
