If the "check speaker" is always turning on, it is possible the amp itself is shorted at the IC. Replace AMP IC pack or if it has N and P channel output transistors acheck them. Some amps do use a thermister and this could be burned open in circuit.

What is the wiring schematics for an Infinity Gold Amplifier 56007499?

hi,

if thats a dodge this might be it..

Re: Infinity Gold AMP Wire Diagram

Well I don't particularly care for Haynes manuals, but my FSM's did not have anything either. I found this in thejeep cherokee haynes manual and it says that it is for 97 and later models but see if it is close. it looks like there are 2 harnesses so I will list them seperately:

Hartness 1:
[7] Left Soundbar Speaker (+) BR/YL
[8] Left Soundbar Speaker (-) BR/LB
[5] Left Front Door Spkr (+) DG
[1] Left Front Door Spkr (-) BR/RD
[9] Right Soundbar Speaker (+) DB/WT
[3] Right Soundbar Speaker (-) DB/OR
[6] Right Front Door Spkr (+) VT
[2] Right Front Door Spkr (-) DB/RD
[4] Power Amp Relay Feed DG/RD

Harness 2:
[05] Right Soundbar Spkr (+) TN/RD
[13] Right Soundbar Spkr (-) TN/BK
[06] Left Soundbar Spkr (+) WT/TN
[14] Left Soundbar Spkr (-) WT/BK
[11] Passenger Door Spkr (+) LB/RD
[10] Passenger Door Spkr (-) LB/BK
[04] Drivers Door Spkr (+) DG
[12] Drivers Door Spkr (-) LG/RD
[01] Power Amp Feed
[02] Power Amp Feed
[07] Power Amp Ground
[08] Power Amp Ground

The tweeters run in parallel off of the door speakers.... If I can help any more let me know.

Having a problem with my Thomson DPL 550HT home theater. When i try to play something the sound repeatedly goes off and on in about a one second interval.

I would have to guess that the internal power supply has one or more bad capacitors. Time to take into a technician for repairs.

My onkyo tx-nr 616 suddenly stop working, error pls check sp-cable, what could be the reason.

Either voice coil to the speaker is shorted, or the audio output section circuit to your receiver has shorted component/s at it. Disconnect all the speakers from the set, and check whether it shows any warning error like this. If dhows, the fault is within the receiver itself. If does not show any error message, switch off the set, and connect the speakers; one by one at a time, and try to find out which one is faulty. Be remember to switch OFF the power to the receiver, each time when one speaker box is connected. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Ha3500 hartke sound goes off with a click after 5 seconds .what is causing the problem

Sounds like the loudspeaker relay switch is disconnecting the spkr.
i) Check heat sensor on heatsink has good connection to PA board. Dust on h'sink/fan usually needs vacuuming off!
ii) Check voltage on the amplifier output resistor R334 is at 0v (referenced to chassis) - if this voltage is raised, the amp stage is faulty.
Otherwise the fault lies in the speaker protection stage (IC301).

How to run wires is series fof 3 subs

If they are single voice coil speakers (1 positive and 1 negative terminal on each speaker) then connect from amps' Positive output terminal to spkr. 1 positive terminal, THEN spkr. 1 neg. terminal to spkr. 2 positive terminal, THEN spkr. 2 negative terminal to spkr. 3 positive terminal, THEN spkr. 3 negative terminal to amps' negative output terminal.

That is 3 speakers wired in series. if each spkr is 2ohms, then you will have a total 6 ohm load. If 4 ohm spkrs., then a total 12 ohm load, if 8 ohm spkr., then a total 24 ohm load.

Be careful because amps do not like these odd ohm load totals. You might get away with a 6 ohm total load. Depends on the amp.

Speakers stopped playing

if the speakers are wired in series, if one goes out the other one wont play either. series is when one wire of first speaker goes into amp, then the other wire of first spkr is connected to one of the wires of second spkr, then the other wire of second spkr goes to the other conection on the amp. kinda like forming a chain. use a 1.5v ( AA, AAA, C-CELL)battery to check your speakers. connect one wire to + side and the other to - side of battery. they should move either in or out. if they move they are still ok. this wont cause them any damage. i use this method all the time to check for spkr polarity.

My amp is in protect mode and i was wonderin how 2 get it out

The quickest way to determine if the problem is in the amp, the wiring, or the speaker(s) is to disconnect all speakers at the amp and re-power. If it stays in protection, check your ground. If you are grounded to a seat bolt or side panel on the vehicle, move it to the floor. Scuff the surface, check underneath for wiring or fuel lines! and drill a new ground. If it's still in protection, meter the voltage at the amp, if it's lower than 9.6v, that's your problem. If it's 11-13v and still in protection, the problem is internal and the amp needs service. If the amp leaves the protection mode when you disconnect speaker(s), check speaker wire for loose/touching wires or cuts in the shield. If that's ok, meter the speaker for resistance. If your meter reads 1..... the voice coil is burnt. If it reads .....1 the spider or coil is open or cut and again is bad. If you don't have a meter, any car audio shop can test your spkr(s) in just a few minutes. If you need further help, post a comment and I can help you more.

I am not very technically literate with respect to audio/video. I purchased a Cambridge Audio Azur 840a V2 Integrated Amplifier last week to replace an Arcam A70. I have a pair of Tannoy DC3 speakers, as...

get an Ohmmeter, take a reading on each speaker line one at a time, on both A & B speaker lines. You should get a reading of 8+/- ohms. The speaker switch with the 6 spks will probably read almost 0 ohms when all 6 are running. That is what your amp is not liking. Try running it with one set of speakers on the switch, with the Tannoys on ch A on your amp and the switch on B. add one pair of the 6 at a time and you'll see that it won't like all 6 at once. 2, maybe 4, at a time is probably what you'll find to work.
Good Luck.

Chk spkr

That message means that you have a bad speaker or you have a bad amplifier IC most of the time. The amp circuit could have some other problem, but more times than not it is the amp IC.

How to check if it is the speakers or the amp circuit:

Unplug the speakers and turn it on. if you do not get the error message you have a bad speaker. If you do get the error message you have an internal amp problem. Then start plugging in speakers one at a time. If the unit turns on and stays on for a few minutes, turn it off and then plug in one more speaker. Keep doing this unit the unit gets the error message and when it gets that message you know that the last speaker you plugged in is the bad one.

Now the bad news

RCA no longer sells parts for their audio equipment. When the supply they have on hand right now is gone, thats it, no more RCA parts.

Now the good news.

The amp IC they use is a generic type that you may be able to get from another source.

But that is only good news if the amp IC is bad. It is the likely suspect, but without troubleshooting it on a test bench with the proper equipment, that can only be a good guess.

If you have found this help to you a good rating would be really appreciated.
