Label 'Cutoff' - We would like this turned off

We have the Zebra TLP 2844 label printer. We print off labels that are 3"x1". Right now, the printer 'cuts off' after each label prints and we often print many at a time. In the past, this wasn't an issue because it was 1 label per box. Now, We are moving to 2 labels (the 2nd having the bar code) per box and would like to 'turn off' the label cutting feature so the labels don't get mixed up.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

SOURCE: improper printing of barcodes

recalibrate the label length in the printer(hold feed and power up). from memory bar-one uses the label settings from windows, so go into printers and faxes under control panel and correct the label size

SOURCE: Zebra TLP 2844 Controlling the font size w/iSeries??

Hi Burgymon,

The font that is used under the barcode will use the last font properties described prior to the barcode in the output. You may want to suppress the human readable option and create a separate text field to display the text version of the barcode contents.

SOURCE: TLP 2844 GAP sensor problem (I guess)

I had the same problem. I found out later there was a small piece of label sticking against the sensor, thus blocking the sensor from sensing the end of the label. As soon as I removed the label (open the cover, it is on the top part) it immediately started to work as usual. Hope this helps.

Everytime i turn on my zebra tlp 2844-z it prints 2 blank labels.anyone please help me to solve this problem

Are you using the correct labels?
Direct Thermal Printers use different labels than printers with ribbons.
If you print a label using labels from a ribbon printer in a direct thermal printer they will come out blank.

Tlp 2844 printer is callibrating is proper but not getting the print in stickers & checked the ribbon.

You need to set the label size in the driver or it will not layout on the calibrated label correctly. the default zebra size is 2x4 so if you have a smaller label it will print across 2 labels as the driver thinks it has a 4 in long label

When printing from a Zebra TLP 2844, text is getting cut off. I am printing from internet software, center aligned. If there are too many characters, the text is getting cutoff on either side (I would say...

Check the drivers you are using, try downloading drivers from Nice Label or Segull Scientific. Setup the page size to fit all the text, use a ruler to measure the lables.

Problem printing on Glossy Label [butterfly label] using Zebra TLP 2844 EPL

You must make sure that the ribbon is compatible with the label you are attempting to print on. It must be a permanent resin. We use the AXR7+ material. Try to avoid using such a high printer head temperature as this will reduce the life of the head.
