What type of input and device are you using? what type of connection? HDMI, Component, AV? DVD player, VCR, Cable/Satellite? Using HDMI will give you the best picture and sound. Best way to test is with a blueray or DVD player using HDMI input. If your picture is still bad, change the main board.

My HDMI cable is hooked up from cable box to backside of TV. My HD does not seem to be working.. I have gone through input and HDMI settings without any upgrade in picture..
You only get a HD picture if the cable or satellite provider is sending it in HD, otherwise you see it in regular format. Your set can produce only what it receives.

Vizio Model#:L37HDTV10A After unpluging the HDMI cable & reconnecting it back, I don't have no more HD picture. The Component cable & HD antena works but no HD brodcasting with HDMI connection....
Is the HDMI port 2 work? Try to turn it off and turn it back on. If it is still not working then the HDMI ports have gone bad. You will need to replace the main board.

My Vizio 42in. is really fuzzy
If the picture is clear when using a DVD and remains "fuzzy" only with cable, then either the cable is bad or the up-conmvert from standard def to Hidef is creating the "fuzz". Depending upon the method used by the set to perform the "up-convert", the noise you are seeing may be normal.
